Chapter 80: Chapter 80: It’s Okay, I’m HereSophie glanced at Isabella Yates. If Isabella knew she was waiting for Edward Harrison here, she would probably go crazy. Sophie knew that Isabella was Edward’s girlfriend now, but she couldn’t deny that deep down, she still considered Edward a very important person to her. Sometimes, she habitually ignored the fact that Edward already had a girlfriend. Thinking like this, she felt a bit despicable.

"I, ..." Sophie had not finished her sentence when she heard someone behind her calling her name—it was Edward.

When Isabella saw Edward, unsurprisingly, her face turned very unpleasant.

"Edward, so Sophie is waiting for you, huh? Why didn’t you say so earlier? Shall we go for coffee together?" Eva Miller said.

"I say, Sophie, casually making a private appointment with someone else’s boyfriend doesn’t seem quite appropriate, does it?"

"Isabella, you misunderstood." Edward looked at Sophie affectionately, unapologetically, "Little Sophie and I have been good friends since childhood. In my heart, she is like family, like my younger sister. I hope you don’t misunderstand."

Family, sister, Sophie smiled wistfully, realizing that this was how he defined her in his heart.

"Right, you guys go have coffee. I’d like to chat with Little Sophie alone for a while."

"Edward!" Isabella pouted in dissatisfaction. Clearly, Edward’s words made her a bit jealous. Eva quickly pulled Isabella to her side.

"Come on, Isabella, I’m treating today. You can eat whatever you want, don’t hold back. No need to save money for me."

Before Isabella could say ’no,’ Eva dragged her away.

"Little Sophie, let’s go."

"Where to?"

Edward didn’t say much more. For some reason, he felt that Sophie wasn’t as happy as before. She used to be lively and always smiling, but since she joined the crew, he felt a certain melancholy about her.

"Do you remember I said I would teach you how to swim?"

Edward had told her many things, and she remembered them all. Like how he would teach her swimming, go on trips with her, act in a TV drama together—he as the male lead and she as the female lead...

Edward was preparing to fulfill all those youthful promises one by one. She felt fortunate that he had always been by her side, even if not as a boyfriend.

Edward took Sophie to the swimming pool. Sophie was somewhat afraid of water, but Edward confidently stayed by her side, constantly reassuring her that it was okay because he was there.

It’s okay, because I’m here.

Her heart inexplicably felt warm.

Sophie carefully entered the pool, with Edward helping her. The cold water felt pleasant on her skin.

Sophie was still a bit nervous, continuously moving closer to Edward, tightly holding his body.

Edward ***** with a robust upper body, touching his skin felt somewhat scorching, his masculine aura making Sophie’s face blush slightly.

"Relax your body, use some strength with your feet too." Edward carefully guided her, following her closely, slowly letting go of her hand. Miraculously, with Edward’s help, Sophie managed to float on the water, even if it was just momentarily.

"Amazing, Edward!" Sophie couldn’t help but shout. She did it; she really did it!

Seeing her mood finally improve, Edward’s lips curled into a slight smile.

They stayed in the pool for nearly two hours before Sophie got out. She had truly enjoyed being in the water.

"I think I can come to the swimming pool more often now." Sophie’s face showed a bit of pride, "I don’t seem to be as afraid of water anymore. I definitely want to learn swimming."

"Whenever you want to come, I’ll be more than happy to accompany you anytime." Edward tenderly stroked her hair, "Little Sophie, as long as you’re happy."

Edward continued being good to her as always, and she accepted it all with peace of mind.
