"Sophie, which home are you talking about?"

Anna spoke with mockery. She was once taken back to Asher Land and Sophie’s apartment, and if the ’home’ Sophie mentioned was that one, wasn’t she overestimating herself? It was Anna who had managed to win Asher Land’s favor now, so what right did Sophie have to go home with Asher Land?

"Where I go doesn’t seem to have much to do with you, Sister Anna." She raised her eyes to look at Asher Land again, unable to read his current emotions. She thought he would rather take Anna home tonight instead of her, making her words about ’going home to rest’ utterly pointless.

Robert Williams drove the car over, parking directly in front of Asher Land.

Sophie hesitated no more and resolutely turned around.

"Stop!" Asher Land took three steps forward, his tall figure

blocked her path.

"Weren’t you saying you were going home to rest? Where are you planning to go now?" He gave a cold snort; though his tone wasn’t good, it was clear he wanted her to stay.

"Get in the car!" He personally opened the car door.

Sophie hadn’t reacted yet, but it was Anna on the side who began getting jealous.

"President Land, didn’t you say Anna was accompanying you tonight? You wouldn’t..."

"Wouldn’t what?"

"You wouldn’t take Sophie home." Anna was both angry and annoyed.

"Oh, really?" He chuckled softly, "What if I decide to take her home?"

"Well, that’s..." This was a rare opportunity; after spending so much time with him tonight, she finally managed to gain a bit of his favor, she absolutely couldn’t let it go to waste. "President Land, I can also serve you, so why not have me and Sophie together?"

Together? Serve?

Sophie’s expression turned blank; she wasn’t stupid and naturally caught the implication in Anna’s words. The idea of two women and one man was both shameful and disgusting.

"Is that so..." He shook his head, "I don’t have that much energy or stamina, so no need to trouble you with serving me."

Asher Land deliberately emphasized the word ’serve.’

Then, he directly ignored Anna’s pale face and sat in the car.

"What are you waiting for? Get in the car!"

Sophie realized Asher Land was talking to her, snapped back to reality, and got in the car too.

Robert Williams drove the car into the night, leaving Anna standing alone on the roadside.

She stomped her foot in frustration, wondering why she was any less than Sophie.

Robert Williams drove the car to the apartment building, Asher Land said a few words to him, and after a nod, Robert drove away.

As night fell deeper, the other apartments had their lights turned off, leaving only a faint light in the living room of the apartment where Sophie and Asher Land stayed.

The two stood downstairs, simultaneously looking up at the building.

Home?

Could she really call that place home?

A place without feelings was always empty, and she couldn’t and wouldn’t believe that she and Asher Land had a home.

"Let’s go up." Asher Land saw her dazed look and reminded her.

His mood today wasn’t as bad as she imagined. Of course, it couldn’t be denied that he was angry when he saw Wyatt Sterling being gentle to her, but soon after, she managed to reverse the situation that her actions had made him unhappy.

When Asher Land opened the door, whether deliberately or intentionally, he softly said to her back, ’home sweet home.’
