Chapter 113: Chapter 113 His New Love (Part 2)"Rose, President Land really dotes on you, even agreed to go shopping with you. You know, President Land is a very busy person." Rose Sterling’s assistant sighed from the side, but Sophie Smith pretended not to hear.

"Just be envious; President Land wouldn’t agree with just anyone." Rose Sterling spoke to her assistant, but her gaze was fixed on Sophie Smith.

Sophie Smith had heard about the past relationship between her and Asher Land. It was said that Asher Land abandoned Hazel Quinn for her and visited the film set every day during the shooting of "City of Desire." The reason she said this was actually to mock Sophie; such a novice actress didn’t have the right to be Asher Land’s woman after all.

"What’s to be proud of? You’ll be dumped sooner or later. Remember, President Land once cared about Sophie!" Julia Brown seemed to be speaking up for Sophie. Sophie glanced at her, and she wisely decided not to continue.

After removing her makeup, Sophie was about to leave when she ran into Asher Land, who came to the makeup room to wait for Rose Sterling.

"Hello, President Land."

Julia reacted quickly and greeted Asher Land. Although Sophie’s relationship with him had ended, he was still technically her big boss, so she felt it necessary to greet him formally.

She had worked so hard to leave him, there was no way she wanted to return.

Rose Sterling joyfully shopped madly at various boutique counters, while Asher Land stood behind her, watching indifferently.

He took out a gold card from his wallet and tossed it to Rose Sterling.

"Buy whatever you want; I’m leaving."

"No, President Land, you promised to accompany me." Rose Sterling pouted, expressing dissatisfaction.

"I have other things to do. Enjoy yourself." Asher Land lost his patience and strode away, leaving Rose Sterling standing resentfully.

He had no interest in Rose Sterling; being with her was just an act for Sophie Smith. He just wanted to see her reaction.

He thought she might care a little bit about him, but seeing her distant and respectful attitude, he realized she wouldn’t come back to him of her own accord.

For reasons unknown, thinking about this made him uncomfortable.

He could think of many ways to make her come back, except having her do so willingly.

He had said he would let her go, but he couldn’t let her go in his heart.

Driving past a bar, Asher Land went in without a second thought.

He usually went to bars accompanied by people, but today he was alone.

He sat at the bar and asked the server for a drink.

In his mind, it was all images of her. Damn it, why couldn’t he stop thinking about her?

"Another drink." He kept pouring alcohol into his mouth as if challenging his limit. He had never gotten drunk before, so he wanted to know how much it would take.

"Sir, are you sure you want more?" The server looked at Asher Land drinking so aggressively, feeling uneasy. He was drinking way too fast.

"I’m here to drink, so stop talking nonsense." He placed the glass on the bar and requested an even stronger vodka.
