Chapter 61 - 59: Little Face in BloomThey saw that both her knees were injured, a half palm-sized area was a bloody mess, almost exposing the bone. Her palms and arms were also badly scraped.

Immediately, all of Liam Spencer's anger vanished; he just wanted to throw her into the hospital and let her stay there. With such severe injuries, how could the medical office deal with it? If not treated properly, it would scar. She absolutely needed to go to the hospital; he couldn't let her be scarred.

When Liam realized that her injuries were because she was trying to drive him out of the Spencer Family, he felt a pang in his heart and stood there, motionless.

Maya Spencer didn't care whether they were looking at her or not. She only knew she was in so much pain. Her head hurt, her face hurt, her hands hurt, her feet hurt. She was in so much pain, she wanted to die.

She tilted her head back, trying to hold back her tears, but they slid right down to her injured cheekbone, stinging her so much that she couldn't help but make whimpering sounds. She hurriedly raised her right hand to wipe her wound, but it made the pain worse, leaving her at a loss, tears falling furiously.

At this moment, Ella Turner rushed over and said, "Maya, the teacher said you passed the exam just now, don't worry anymore."

"Mm-hmm!" Maya bit her lip and nodded.

"Why do you work so hard? You're injured and still worry about exam results. Failing is not a big deal!" Ella recalled how Maya, after entering the medical office, clung to her and pleaded desperately for her to ask the teacher if she passed the exam, making Ella both angry and heartbroken. It's just a fitness test!

However, as soon as she finished speaking, someone standing at the door was so stifled that he couldn't breathe. He took a deep breath and found himself at a loss on how to deal with her, holding the medicine given by the medical staff, staring straight at Maya.

When Maya lifted her head to look at Ella, she caught a glimpse of someone watching her from the corner of her eye.

She immediately lowered her head, pretending not to see him.

In those brief moments, Liam saw everything in her expression, watching her trying to avoid him like that, which made him very uncomfortable. He really wanted to have a confrontation with her.

Beside them, the medical staff, observing Liam's expression, awkwardly explained, "Classmate Spencer fell during the exam, and we suggested she go to the hospital, but she refused."

"Surely it's because she doesn't have money." At a time like this, the person who understood Maya best was Elijah Reed.

Upon hearing Elijah say she didn't have money, Liam immediately lost the desire to get angry. How pitiful that the dignified Fifth Miss of the Spencer Family could end up in such a state!

How could he allow this woman to disgrace the Spencer Family like that? How could he allow others to think the Spencer Family mistreated her?

So, he swiftly walked over to Maya, grabbed her left wrist, and pulled her up from the chair.

Suddenly, Maya exploded. Ignoring her own pain, she forcefully shook off his hand and shouted angrily at him, "Don't touch me!"

She was disgusted with him, absolutely disgusted!

Maya's outburst left Liam feeling awkward, and his sharp gaze could almost devour her.

He stretched out his right hand, pinched her chin, and said word by word, "Don't make a scene here; go to the hospital."

Listening to the man's sarcasm, Maya didn't even feel like crying anymore. Was she the disgrace here? What had she done that was disgraceful? Was falling her fault too?

If it weren't for his aggressive behavior, if it weren't for him pushing her to a place of no return, leaving her homeless, would she have fought so desperately? Would she have run away, ignoring everything?

Maya remembered the things he said to her and the doubts he cast, making her still angry, still wanting to drive him out of the Spencer Family.

However, at this moment, she was not in a position of advantage. She wouldn't foolishly fight with him, she might as well ignore him!

So, facing Liam's reproach, she showed no emotional fluctuation; her big, watery eyes fixed on him, but without a hint of him in them. She completely ignored him, refusing to respond.

If he wanted to pinch her like that, then let him! After all, there were so many people in the medical office; she really didn't believe he dared to do anything to her.

Looking at the girl's lifeless face, Liam was livid, his face turning pale. Pinching her chin, he dragged her out of the medical office.

At this moment, Maya couldn't remain indifferent. Her knees hurt; every step felt like burning pain.

So, with palms skinned, her little hands tightly gripped Liam's wrist, trying to remove his hand from her chin to relieve her discomfort.

But in terms of strength, she could never win against Liam. Even though it pained her hands pulling, she couldn't make him let go.

Eventually, she angrily, incoherently ordered, "Get your filthy hands off!"

Hearing this, Liam's face became even uglier, and he immediately tightened his grip on her chin, making Maya wince from the pain.

Ella, seeing this, quickly grabbed Liam's wrist, pleading, "Principal, Maya is hurt right now, don't do this."

"BOSS, the Fifth Miss is severely injured," Elijah also persuaded from the side.

Looking at everyone's gazes, Liam found it hard to explain. He only wanted to take her to the hospital; why was he being seen as the villain?

Facing the stubborn Maya, he took a deep breath and said slowly, "Go to the hospital, lest people say the Spencer Family mistreats you."

"No need! After all, the Spencer Family's mistreatment of me is no secret." Maya's temper was no better than Liam's; when it came to cold wars and bickering, she wouldn't lose to anyone.

"Maya, you'd better wise up. If your pretty face gets spoiled, how will you seduce men?" Now, Liam loosened his grip on her chin, giving her a chance to breathe.

It wasn't until she heard about ruining her pretty face that Maya realized the seriousness of the situation, that she could end up disfigured. Though she didn't usually dress up, she was quite vain; she didn't want scars or disfigurement.

So, looking at him, she nonchalantly said, "I'll walk myself; I don't need your help." Saying this, she released her little hands from his wrist, even though the wound hurt more and made her want to curse.

Only then did Liam let go of her, turning to lead the way.

"I'll go with you." Ella, not feeling comfortable about Maya not having another girl with her, insisted on accompanying her.

"Okay!" Maya didn't refuse.

So, Ella supported Maya as they followed behind someone.

Elijah watched Maya limping along, hearing her labored breathing with each step she took, and immediately caught up without asking Maya's permission. He picked her up and followed Liam.

Elijah's action startled Maya. She quickly explained, "Assistant Reed, I can walk on my own."

"Fifth Miss, let me carry you!" Since the BOSS wanted to take the Fifth Miss to the hospital, Elijah naturally didn't hold back. Without consulting Liam, he picked her up.

Ahead, Liam, listening to the two's conversation, felt a strange suffocating block in his heart, yet pretended to be nonchalant, walking ahead without turning back.

When the four reached the parking lot, Elijah suddenly said to Liam, "BOSS, I can take the Fifth Miss to the hospital."

As soon as Elijah spoke, Liam's face turned even grimmer.
