Chapter 64 - 62: Doesn't She Have Hands?Liam looked at the girl and listened to his question, and for a moment, he was embarrassed.

How should he explain? Explain that he couldn't help but kiss her just now? Liam felt that he must be crazy; as she angrily scolded him, he kissed her lips without thinking.

At times like this, shouldn't he grab a pillow and cover her face so she can't scold him? How could he kiss her? Such a miscalculation!

Although he felt guilty when facing Maya's question, he certainly wouldn't admit that he kissed her because her tantrum looked really good.

So, he pressed his body lower, getting even closer to her, approached her lips, and said with a charming smile: "Isn't this what you expected? Being unruly is just being coquettish, right? You're showing favor, so how could I refuse? Why wouldn't I take advantage of what's given for free?"

Listening to Liam's analysis, Maya's mind was filled with disbelief, thinking it was really like she was being played!

In front of Liam, no matter what she does or says, it's always wrong. He has a hundred ways to distort her intentions.

"Miss Spencer, do you want to have lunch now?"

While the two were arguing about right and wrong, a nurse came in, feeling awkward witnessing the scene, thinking to herself how close the sibling bond was, as they're playing the bed-dong game so smoothly.

Maya, seeing the nurse arrive, quickly pushed Liam off her, climbed out of bed, put on her shoes, and walked swiftly to the living room.

With the presence of an outsider, Liam naturally wouldn't continue his insolence. After crawling out of bed, he also headed towards the living room.

Maya looked at the man who followed, indifferently asking, "Isn't Young Master Reid hungry? Not going for a meal?"

Clearly, she was issuing an eviction order!

Seeing her about to eat, Liam felt a surge of anger and gave her a fierce eye roll. He had been sitting there for a full three hours without drinking a sip of water.

And now she was actually trying to make him leave without considering who was paying for the hospital fees.

Liam was about to lose his temper when Henry Reid rushed in, barging into the ward, grabbing Maya's wrist, pulling her up from the chair, and examining her from head to toe.

Seeing Maya wrapped like a mummy, Henry felt heartache, raised his right hand, gently caressed her small face, and asked, "Maya, why are you so careless? It must hurt!"

Upon entering the ward, Henry didn't even glance at the man sitting beside; with Maya there, he could see nothing else.

Maya looked at Henry's concerned expression and quickly removed his hand from her face, saying coolly, "It doesn't hurt!"

She even doubted if Henry had spies around her; why did he always know so quickly whenever something happened? He always managed to find her, never allowing her a moment of peace?

Meanwhile, Liam watched the interaction between the two, feeling a swell of resentment towards Maya growing stronger, even agreeing with Hannah and her mother's accusations of her being a little vixen.

Henry hadn't noticed him; he sat silently watching Henry to see what he was going to do to Maya.

Then, he heard Henry ask, "Maya, it's already three o'clock, haven't you eaten yet? Does the food here suit your taste? Should I go buy something outside for you?"

"Look at the thick bandages on your hands, how can you hold a bowl yourself? I'll feed you!"

Having experienced Henry's nagging before, Maya didn't respond each time he spoke, minding her own business, doing what she had to do until Henry handed over the lunchbox. That was when she loftily said, "I'm fine."

"No way! I'll do it!" Henry's care for Maya was a bit domineering; he felt he had to help her thoroughly when she needed it, without really considering what she thought.

"Henry, does she not have hands?" Finally, the man sitting on the sofa, Liam, couldn't take it any longer.

He had never seen such a thick-skinned man; couldn't Henry see Maya was uninterested in him, unwilling to pay attention to him? Yet he still stuck to her like a lapdog.

While disdaining Henry, Liam never thought that his own actions weren't much better, potentially even more shameless one day.

Liam's sudden outburst startled Henry, who quickly turned around, facing him, greeting awkwardly with a smile: "Oh, Young Master Reid is here too!"

"Oh! Can Young Master Reid see others?" Normally aloof, Liam couldn't hold back at the moment, sarcastically ribbing Henry.

"Wasn't Maya hurt? I was too anxious." Henry explained with a forced smile.

"It seems someone is not quite willing to accept your kindness."

"Maya is just like this—cold and indifferent to everyone." Henry felt the sting of Liam's sarcasm, unable to maintain his image.

Henry was more aware than anyone of Maya's attitude towards him; yet, he was unwilling to let go, very much in love, and firmly believing he could someday win her over, claiming victory.

Listening to Henry's explanation, Liam slowly stood up from the sofa, hands in his pockets, staring at Henry meaningfully as he smiled and said, "Ha! Cold to everyone? Henry, you have no idea how flirtatious, how passionate she can be!"

As soon as Liam spoke, the girl at the dining table suddenly lifted her head, her big eyes glaring directly at him, evidently displeased with his words.

At that moment, Liam turned to look at her too; their eyes met, and Maya shot him a sharp look before quickly withdrawing her gaze, lowering her head to grab her fork, burying herself in her meal.

Despite him being ready to twist the knife and claim she led him on, he was embarrassed to admit he actually fell for it!

So after a second of shock, she quickly regained composure, directly ignoring the two men in front of her, continuing to eat.

Liam watched her indifferent attitude, really wanting to ask what was on her mind and how she managed this lifeless stance—was it true she had no one in her heart?

Meanwhile, Henry was choked by Liam's earlier remarks, thinking Liam was hinting that Maya liked Elijah Reed, assuming he was speaking on Elijah's behalf, leaving him momentarily speechless, unable to find his own justification.

As Liam withdrew his gaze from the girl, seeing the embarrassment on the man's face, he was too annoyed to stimulate him further. He couldn't understand what kind of eyes Henry had to like such an annoying woman.

To ease the awkward atmosphere, he looked at Henry indifferently and said, "I've gone through Reid Clan's proposal, some things you need to ensure personally and report back to me tomorrow morning."

"Maya, I need to get busy now; I'll come later to see you." And with that, Henry was sent away, leaving only the siblings in the ward.

Liam watched her diligently eating, grinding his teeth in anger, approached her, and pinched her chin, glaring at her fiercely.

Maya noticed, looking at him, lightly asked, "What? Did I flirt with you again? Want to kiss me again?"
