Chapter 82: Chapter 80: Be Obedient Maya Spencer opened the headline "Spencer Family’s Second Young Master Suspected of a New Romance," and was surprised to see her photo featured.

Even though the photo was blurry and didn’t capture her face directly, and even in the frontal shots she wore a sun hat and sunglasses, both of them could still instantly tell that the girl was Maya Spencer.

The photos showed the two of them going out together, Kinsley Spencer rubbing her head, holding her wrist, teaching her to drive, and even fastening her seatbelt, which was misinterpreted as a passionate kiss due to the angle.

Looking at the photos, Maya rolled her eyes at her phone impatiently and cursed, "Do they have nothing better to do?"

Seeing her reaction, the man immediately comforted her, "Maya, don’t be upset. Luckily, they didn’t capture your face clearly. I’ll have them take down the news right away."

"Boring, is this interesting?" Clearly, she was somewhat annoyed by the news.

Maya knew that the situation was hard to explain, and the Spencers would never come forward to acknowledge their sibling relationship, as they had no intention of publicly admitting she was a daughter of the Spencer Family, let alone an illegitimate one.

The anticipation made him so damn uncomfortable, he thought, he must have been out of his mind to text that woman.

Liam thought his feelings for someone were merely physical desire, sour about wanting to sleep with her and not getting his way, yet he hadn’t realized his feelings had surpassed mere resentment.

In the company lobby, employees, rarely seeing the big boss, were almost going crazy, their eyes glued to him.

Being part of the Owen Clan was a point of pride, not just because the company was exceptional, but also because the boss was young, wealthy, and handsome. At 24 years old, when most peers were still gaming, Liam Spencer was already a prominent figure.

And what thrilled them most of all was that the boss was single, which meant that all unmarried women could hope to become the boss lady.

At the reception, the girls refreshed their makeup, giggling, hoping he’d spare them a glance.

She claimed her brother wouldn’t kiss her, and even if he did, she would refuse. But then, what were these photos about?

It seemed Maya’s acting skills had improved, as those innocent eyes had fooled him completely.

Taking a deep breath, he exited the news page, gripped his phone tightly, turned, and made his way to the elevator, angrily stepping inside his private lift.

In the lobby, employees watched his sudden change in expression, his furious gaze, utterly baffled, their wide eyes following his disappearance from sight.

Inside the elevator, Liam suppressed his rage, his fists clenched so tightly that his veins bulged.

He loathed being lied to, especially when one could do it without blushing or skipping a beat.

Perhaps he was angry at himself for believing Maya’s lies.

Back in the office, his anger failed to dissipate, growing even fiercer, exacerbated by Maya’s failure to reply to his message, which only fueled his wrath.

Remembering her innocent, deceitful little face made him sick, eager to rip off her masked facade.

Finally, unable to bear it, he called her. What infuriated him more was that the woman didn’t answer.

Only after dialing again did he hear her lethargic, even impatient, voice.

She asked, "What is it?"

Hearing the girl’s attitude, Liam’s anger peaked. He took a deep breath, and ordered in a low voice, "Be in my office in half an hour."

"Are you insane?" Right then, Maya, vexed by the scandal, had no patience for his feelings and blurted out that he was mad.

The Spencer Family and the Hanson Family were sworn enemies. After that fierce dispute nearly 20 years ago, neither family had any interactions, not even in business.
