Chapter 46: Chapter 44: Making Full Use of ThingsDream! It must be a dream! She closed her eyes and opened them again, everything remained unchanged.
Tears streaming down, she grabbed his right arm propped beside her head and mercilessly bit it, trying to bite herself awake.
She knew they had made a big mistake, yet she didnât dare make a fuss, fearing that the commotion would wake everyone, making things even more unbearable.
She asked, "What should I do now? What should I do now?"
Hearing the murmuring of the girl in his arms, Liam finally pushed her away and lifted her chin, asking, "Grace, why are you crying?"
Maya cried intensely, unable to hear what he was saying, but then Liam saw clearly that the girl in his arms was Maya. He was stunned and suddenly pushed her away, grabbing her arm, "Maya?"
"You!" Mayaâs face was full of grievance, tears falling continuously.
Memories of last night surged up, and Liam remembered the girl asking him to dance, and she cried while lying in his arms.
Later, somehow he saw Grace, and then... then... something that shouldnât have happened, happened.
Impossible! Impossible! He would never mistake Maya for Grace, even though he had teased her before, each time his mind was clear, he wouldnât let himself make a mistake, yet last night he indeed made one.
He grabbed Mayaâs arm, took a deep breath, and angrily glared at her, asking, "Maya Spencer, did you drug me? Isnât it true?"
Liam couldnât find a more appropriate reason for his state last night unless he was drugged... with hallucinations... otherwise, he wouldnât be that unmindful.
He looked up at the clock on the wall; it was already four thirty in the morning,
Haha! If it wasnât drug-induced hallucinations, how could he fail to recognize Maya in his arms for four hours?
However, judging by various signs, the only possibility was that she herself carried drugs.
He always felt this girl approached him with ulterior motives, felt she was too close to him, yet he never pushed her away, ultimately allowing the mistake to happen.
He had resistance to women, and yet he fell into her trap; last nightâs drama was indeed well-acted.
On the big bed, pushed away Maya heard the manâs questioning, dumbfounded; amidst daze, more was anger.
If it werenât for the soreness and weakness all over her body, she would have fought him hard; she never expected that the matter would get to this point, he would pin all responsibility on her, saying she drugged him, how despicably did he think of her?
Maya took a deep breath, glaring at him viciously, saying, "Liam Spencer, didnât expect you make a mistake and still push it onto a woman, really remarkable!"
Listening to the girlâs sarcasm, Liam suddenly pinched her jaw, wishing to tear her apart, he asked, "Did Grandpa send you?"
Liam always suspected Maya was Grandpaâs pawn, that she was a chess piece in his beauty scheme, wanting to plant her near him as a corporate spy.
Besides, they looked somewhat alike, so the old fox made full use of resources, not sparing even his own granddaughter.
Maya didnât expect that after going through a nightmare, sheâd still bear such filthy accusations, drugging him? A spy sent by Grandpa?
Her teardrops hadnât dried, yet Liamâs attitude and reaction left her too enraged to cry.
Looking at his hateful eyes and the anger grabbing her jaw, her heart chilled.
Wasnât he supposed to comfort her now, let everyone forget all this? Wasnât she the primary victim? Why was she being questioned like this?
Well, all wrongs were hers, it was her fault for trusting him too much. When he told her to take a day off, she should have gone downstairs, not stayed upstairs.
Her hands tightly gripped his wrist, eyes full of disappointment.
In an instant, she couldnât even conjure any hatred.
But she clearly understood, she hated this man now, utterly hated him, sheâd never forgive him this lifetime.
If she could, sheâd rather join Grandpaâs team, fulfill his wish, stay beside Liam with ulterior motives to make him uncomfortable.
Yet, she was not, she never harbored any ulterior motive toward Liam.
She thought she could be brave, looking into his eyes without crying, yet her heart felt wronged, felt miserable; clasping his wrist, wishing to break off his grip.
"Maya, you are truly shameless." Liam looked at the girlâs face, watched her red flushed little face, and her indescribable emotions, he felt extremely repulsed, viciously tossing her aside, indifferently grabbing his robe to put on.
Maya looked at the manâs broad back, took a deep breath, unable to restrain the corners of her mouth from twitching slightly in mockery: "Liam, why play pretend? Werenât you just enjoying it? Slept with me for four hours, is this your attitude? Even if I was sent by Grandpa to seduce you, wasnât it you who found it pleasurable? Did you suffer any loss?"
She really couldnât understand, did he lose something? Why show her such a dirty face, on what grounds?
Listening to the girlâs provocation, Liam held his breath, turned around, slowly tied the robeâs belt, bent down, suddenly pinched her neck, lifted her from the bed, sneering.
"Loss? Maya, let me tell you, youâll get nothing from me."
Yesterday, the two were still bickering together, he even frivolously consoled her a bit.
Logically, after this event, theyâd be grasshoppers on the same rope, unexpectedly the relationship reached freezing point.
Maya, being pinched, listening to the manâs disdain, had a killing intent, yet her life was hanging in his hands.
The still breath made her itch with lack of air, her hands couldnât lift up, unable to stop his rampage, let alone call for help.
