Chapter 130: Chapter 128: Style Doesn’t Match Hannah listened to Elia Spencer’s complaints, her face full of disdain, though she was only disdainful towards Maya Spencer.

She said, "Mom hasn’t gone insane, she won’t let you do something like this that goes against your conscience. I think your third brother’s friend, Xavier Graham is quite good. Just look at how powerful the Graham Clan Group is, almost as strong as the Owen Clan. So, Mom plans to pair you up with Xavier. I’ve already asked someone to discuss this with the Graham Family. You should be proactive and get closer to your third brother. If he can help you make the connection, this will pretty much be accomplished halfway."

Hannah’s calculation was naturally well-intended, but Elia Spencer hadn’t thought in that direction at all. Listening to Hannah’s guidance made her angry instead. She completely disregarded Hannah’s good intentions for her and directly countered it.

"Mom, no matter how impressive the Graham Clan Group is, I don’t want to marry into the Graham Family. I’ll wait for Henry Reid to wake up. The person I like is him."

"Why are you so silly? If you marry Xavier Graham, even your big sister won’t be your rival, and the Spencer Family will fall into your hands sooner or later. By then, we won’t have to mind other people’s moods."

"Mom! I’ve never thought about wanting the Spencer Family. Even if I did, it would be out of spite with Maya Spencer. But I know the Spencer Family won’t fall into Maya’s hands. Not only can I not compete with big sister, I can’t even compete with second brother. I just want to marry Henry Reid; the Reid Family isn’t poor, I won’t starve."

Elia Spencer was infatuated with Henry Reid ever since she first saw him when she was 16. It’s been three years now. If Henry didn’t like Maya Spencer, she wouldn’t hate Maya so much.

Hannah was overly anxious, making premature judgments. Henry Reid had only been in a coma for two days, and the doctors hadn’t said anything about him not waking up, yet she was already worried.

Elia Spencer looked at her mother’s stubbornness, fell onto the bed, pulled the blanket over her head, and said impatiently, "I want to sleep now." Anyway, she wouldn’t give up on Henry Reid; she wanted to defeat Maya Spencer in the most difficult times and replace her in Henry’s heart.

Hannah looked at Elia Spencer, who wouldn’t listen to advice, and coldly said, "I will arrange a dinner with Xavier Graham for you this Friday night."

Elia Spencer ignored her; Hannah finished speaking, opened the door, and left.

Upon hearing the door close, Elia Spencer kicked the blanket impatiently, thrashing her legs in protest. The next morning, she got out of bed and went straight to the hospital to see Henry Reid.

In Liam Spencer’s apartment, Maya Spencer woke up only at ten in the morning, rubbing her hair as she sat up in bed, Liam had long disappeared.

She gave the empty spot beside her a sarcastic look and, upon pulling back the blanket, found two keys on the bedside table next to a contract – a car key and a house key.

She brushed the keys aside, grabbed the contract, and flipped through a few pages while pouting, trying to see what the cooperation project was, only to discover a certain person’s name had already been signed on the last page, complete with a seal.

For a moment, Maya’s emotions were complicated; she didn’t know how to describe them. That bastard had actually signed the contract.

Last night, he had still been playing coy, refusing to sign. How could a night’s sleep have made him lose his senses? He hadn’t gained any benefits but signed the contract anyway; this was truly not Liam Spencer’s style.

Maya Spencer mused for a moment and then returned to rational thought, patting her forehead and muttered to herself, "Maya, you’re so stupid! Did you think he signed the contract for you? Don’t forget he and Sister Jane Spencer have the same mother; he’s doing it for Sister Jane’s sake."

With that realization, Maya’s panicked heart calmed down.

When she got up to open his wardrobe and find suitable clothes to wear, she found that half of his wardrobe contained women’s clothes.

Suddenly, Maya was dumbfounded, thinking, was he trying to make her stay long-term? What a wish – once the five days were over, she would take off.

She dressed and went to the hospital.

This routine continued for three days, watching over Henry Reid during the day at the hospital and accompanying Liam Spencer at night. Watching Henry wasn’t tiring, as Elia did everything, but the nights with that scoundrel wore her out.

On the fourth morning, Maya Spencer arrived at the hospital a step earlier than Elia. Today was different: Madam Reid was there too, chatting happily with Elia.

Maya Spencer observed the two women, unwittingly raising her lips, thinking that Elia marrying into the Reid Family wasn’t difficult. Her move of sticking through hardships truly hit the right note.

Inside the hospital room, Madam Reid’s expression changed upon seeing Maya Spencer, turning unfavorable. She looked at Elia and sneered, "Elia, unlike some people, who have their conscience eaten by dogs, Henry treats them wholeheartedly while they sit here idle like a goddess, doing nothing."

Hearing Madam Reid’s praise and seeing her wipe Henry’s face, Elia quickly smiled and said, "Aunt, rest for a while, let me do it!"

The duo’s back and forth meant nothing to Maya. She moved to the sofa indifferently and sat down, watching them continue.

"Elia, in today’s world, good girls like you are rare. Honestly, Aunt is truly touched by you. When Henry wakes up, I will arrange your engagement. You can decide when to marry," Madam Reid said, clearly intending it for Maya to hear, though it was entirely redundant; Maya couldn’t care less about whom Henry married as long as that woman didn’t provoke her.

"Aunt, you’re joking. Let’s wait for Henry to wake up and ask his opinion," Elia replied, feigning humility.

Maya glanced at the girl’s pretense and pulled out her phone from her pocket, casually playing games on the sofa.

Madam Reid, angered by Maya’s attitude, harshly snapped, "Turn off the phone. You don’t know electromagnetic signals are bad for Henry’s recovery?"

Maya looked calmly at the irate Madam Reid, leisurely putting away her phone, then asked, "Aunt, my third brother has caught the man who threw me into the sea. Would you like to avenge Henry?"

Clearly, Maya was probing Madam Reid.

Madam Reid had experience; she wasn’t foolish. Hearing Maya’s question, she naturally understood the girl wasn’t seeking revenge for Henry but was instead suspecting her, suspecting that the person who threw her into the sea was her.
