Chapter 149 - I Want to Marry Her

In the living room, except for Liam Spencer, all the Spencer Family members were present. Looking at the imposing scene, Maya Spencer took a deep breath, as if she was fully prepared to face everything.

"Maya, sit down!" Old Master Spencer said when he saw Maya coming, his attitude towards her even more affectionate than usual, but it couldn’t make Maya feel any more fond of him.

A luxurious single sofa had been prepared for her alone in the center of the living room, looking much like an interrogation area.

Maya glanced around the living room, sat down unhurriedly, and peacefully awaited everything she had to face. It was just a pity that on such an important day, Liam wasn’t there.

After she sat down, Kinsley was the first to speak. He said, "Grandfather, I have matters at the company, I need to leave first, I’ll borrow Maya for a day and return her to you tomorrow."

Kinsley said this as he grabbed Maya from the sofa, preparing to take her away. He was just called back and wanted to stop what was about to happen.

However, he forgot that he wasn’t Liam; let alone taking Maya away from this house, he couldn’t leave without a word from the old man.

Thus, everyone heard the old man say next: "Kinsley, you’ve already been dismissed; is there still anything you need to be busy with?"

Second Uncle hurriedly pulled Kinsley back, advising, "Grandfather must have something important to convene a meeting, why are you running?"

"Grandfather, what’s this? Why make everything so serious for no reason?" Jane Spencer tried to mediate, attempting to ease the oppressive atmosphere.

However, Grandfather didn’t pay attention to Jane this time, his eyes just staring straight at Maya and asking, "Maya, whose child is it?"

The old man’s question was long within Maya’s expectations, so she indifferently curled her lips, smiling as she said, "Grandfather, perhaps we’ll have to wait until it’s born to know whose child it is."

Everyone knew full well regarding her child, they just wanted her to make it clear, but she stubbornly refused to say.

Now that something has happened and the Spencer Family’s face might be lost, they started to show concern for her. Where were they before? When they pushed her onto Liam’s bed to negotiate projects and sign contracts, did they not think of today?

Are they even human? Knowing full well she and Liam are real siblings, yet disregarding her well-being, pushing her to Liam’s side, what are they afraid of now? Afraid she’ll shame the Spencer Family? Too bad, this shame is bound to happen.

"Maya, regardless of whose child it is, Grandfather won’t be mad, as long as you are well, we can handle the rest together," Old Master Spencer tried to appeal to her emotions, hoping to coax the truth out of Maya.

"Grandfather, I wasn’t home for the past few days, life was very chaotic, I really don’t know." The more they wanted to know, the more Maya kept them in suspense.

"Maya, is the child your third brother’s?" Finally, the old man directly asked her if the child was Liam’s after her repeated denials.

"Heh!" Maya couldn’t help but laugh at the old man’s question.

After laughing, she said indifferently, "Grandfather, if you’re so curious, why don’t you call my third brother and ask if he ever slept with me?"

At that moment, Maya thought, why does everyone take her for a soft target, why doesn’t anyone dare to ask Liam?

Hannah looked at Maya, who refused to admit, with a very unpleasant expression, one Maya hadn’t seen before. But it wasn’t mockery; there seemed to be a hint of resentment and a touch of helplessness.

"Maya, stop being stubborn like a dead duck, don’t think I’m bluffing you, I’m serious, just admit it yourself!" Hannah’s expression was resigned, not at all like someone holding fatal evidence. This attitude seemed like she was reluctantly helping her.

Maya was quite sure that Hannah had evidence, what puzzled her was why she was hesitating to present it, it was unlike her style.

"Hannah, if you have evidence, just show it, why so much nonsense?" At this point, even the old man couldn’t hold back.

"It’s really unsightly, better let her own up to it!" Hannah looked very troubled.

When the atmosphere was at a stalemate, the villa door was swung open dramatically, followed by his words: "Grandfather, Maya’s child is mine, I will take responsibility, I will marry Maya."
