Begin Chapter 163 of "No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother" with: Beside the refrigerator in the dining room, Maya Spencer looked at the man who rushed... Find out more!
Beside the refrigerator in the dining room, Maya Spencer looked at the man who rushed in, surprised and quickly turned around, awkwardly explaining, "I felt really nauseous, wanted to drink some iced water, eat something."
Liam Spencer could sense from her expression and words that she felt sorry for disturbing him. Actually, he hadnât slept at all, with his ears perked up listening to her movements; she hadnât disturbed him.
Listening to the girlâs explanation, he slowly walked over to the fridge, finding there was nothing inside except mineral water.
For a moment, he was awkward too, realizing he hadnât thought that the house now had a pregnant woman living in it, needing special care.
So, he quickly said, "Wait for a moment, Iâll go out and be back soon, also donât drink ice water, drink warm water instead."
Then, he went into the master bedroom to change clothes, hurriedly left the house, leaving Maya alone at home.
Maya watched the manâs departing figure indifferently, returned to her room, lay down on the bed, trying to fall asleep. But just the thought of Liam dismissing her with money made her uncomfortable, unable to sleep.
Half an hour later, her bedroom door was pushed open, she suddenly turned around to see someone standing at the door with two large supermarket plastic bags filled with snacks.
No need to think much, she knew those were for her, so she said calmly, "Just leave them here!"
Liam didnât expect the girl to have such a cold attitude. He thought they had reached an understanding and that before the baby was born, theyâd get along well. He thought sheâd accepted his proposal to willingly accept his compensation to have the baby.
But seeing her cold attitude towards him, apparently, she still had emotions.
He thought she would happily say thank you to him, but unexpectedly, the relationship remained distant. He was not used to this awkward situation, he preferred their harmonious interaction, liked it when she acted coy with him, even if it was just pretending.
But knowing Liam, he couldnât stoop low to beg her to talk nicely to him, to smile at him, such things were too laughable.
So, he casually tossed the bags onto the sofa in the room, indifferently saying, "Tomorrow, Iâll call a housekeeper over, whatever needs you have, just tell the housekeeper directly."
"Okay! Thanks!" Mayaâs attitude remained cold, thinking the man calling a housekeeper was because he found her annoying and didnât want to bother with her. So she thought, since he finds her bothersome, why did he bring her back? Letting her fend for herself would be better.
Moreover, didnât he say that there were plenty of women willing to have his child? Why insist on her, couldnât he find a willing woman to have the child for him?
Hearing the sound of the door closing, Maya felt very bad. Every time she saw him after getting pregnant, her mood turned bad, so bad she wanted to vomit. So she covered her mouth, rushed into the bathroom again.
Sure enough, when she woke up the next day, there was already an auntie in the apartment. Just as Maya came out of the second bedroom, she smelled the fragrance wafting from the kitchen, making her mouth water.
In the dining room, the helper auntie saw Maya waking up and quickly greeted, "Miss Maya, breakfast is ready, if thereâs anything you feel like eating, just let me know."
"Thank you! May I ask your surname?"
"Miss Maya, my surname is Smith."
Maya listened to the housekeeper auntieâs introduction, murmuring softly, "Aunt Smith! Aunt Smith!"
The housekeeper auntie saw Maya being obedient, not showing any attitude, smiling warmly while continuing to prepare her meals.
After breakfast, Aunt Smith pulled Maya aside, shared heaps of her own childbirth experiences, teaching her what she should do. Upon discovering Maya hadnât prepared anything, after she woke from a nap, she drove her to the department store to pick out baby items.
Of course, she let Maya sit and rest nearby, if she spotted something she liked, she would show it to her and if she said it looked good, sheâd buy it.
Even though she had only been in the home for one day, from Mayaâs reactions, it was clear the relationship between the young couple wasnât good; the girl wasnât willingly having the child for their family master.
The early stages of pregnancy were very important; she was afraid Maya would be depressed by staying home and possibly harm her health and the babyâs well-being. So she dragged her out shopping to let her feel the babyâs presence more gravely, to care about the babyâs existence.
Just as the two were preparing to leave, Liam Spencer suddenly appeared at the baby store, startling Maya.
She looked at the man standing before her, bashfully explaining, "Aunt Smith suggested buying some things for the baby to have on hand."
The man saw her evasive eyes, her anxious manner, glanced around the store calmly asking, "What did you buy?"
"Everything!" Maya replied dismissively.
Aunt Smith quickly added, "Basically some baby clothes, pacifiers, bottles and such."
Liam listened to Aunt Smithâs answer, calmly said, "Hmm! Iâll accompany Maya to browse a bit more, see what else we might be missing?"
"Alright then! Iâll head back first to prepare a meal for you both." Aunt Smith wisely handed Maya back to Liam, not staying there as a third wheel.
After Aunt Smith left, Liam rubbed the girlâs head and asked, "Are you tired?"
"Alright!" she calmly replied.
Afterwards, he hugged her waist, continuing to explore the baby store.
For Maya, sheâd rather wander around outside than return to his apartment because there, lie too many unpleasant memories. Returning to his apartment made her remember her own lowliness, feeling depressed. Those unbearable memories, she always wanted to erase.
In the baby store, the sales lady saw the significant customers before her, trailing closely but refraining from speaking much, until the couple stopped at a particular crib, then she explained, "Sir, Madam, this baby crib is handcrafted from solid rosewood, highly conducive to the babyâs sleep. The solid wood pull rods at the head and foot of the bed are retractable, suitable for the baby until five or six years old."
Liam listened to the sales ladyâs introduction, turned around, wrapped his arms around Mayaâs waist, lowered his head looking into her eyes asking, "Maya, what do you think?"
"Very nice! Very practical!" Maya replied politely, her words lacking yesterdayâs sharpness and coldness.
So, Liam purchased the crib.
Next, Maya stopped by the pillow section, gently touching a small baby pillow saying, "So small! So cute!"
"Salesperson, take note of the item number the madam likes."
"Yes, sir!"
With the shopping in the baby store, Mayaâs mood indeed improved considerably, finding these little items quite adorable, she picked quite a few, completely forgetting that she planned to give up the child just days before.
As they say, wisdom comes with age; Aunt Smithâs simple gesture had already managed to sway Mayaâs heart.
