Chapter 511 - Give an Explanation
Chapter 511 of "No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother" introduces new challenges: "I did send it to him, but I donât know when heâll receive it. Liam,... Keep following!
"I did send it to him, but I donât know when heâll receive it. Liam, after discovering such a big secret, donât you think you should thank me? Otherwise, you might never find out the truth about your parentage in your lifetime." Jane Spencer looked at the man with a face as pale as chalk, finally feeling a sense of relief. That day, she originally intended to confront Second Uncle, urging him not to compromise with Grandpa and not to sign the acquisition contract with Owen Clan Group. Unexpectedly, she overheard a conversation between Charlotte Owen and Second Uncle.
From Charlotte Owenâs words, Jane Spencer sensed something was amiss. So, meddling in matters not her own, she conducted a DNA test. The results were indeed astonishing. She thought to herself, no wonder Second Uncle and Kinsley Spencer suddenly changed their minds and agreed to sign; it was all to pay off debts.
Liam Spencer looked at the womanâs smug and cold smile, grabbed the documents, and dashed out of the meeting room.
Liam was nearly certain that Jane Spencer intentionally sent the documents to Grandpa to deliberately provoke him.
This matter was initially no big deal. However, the old man wasnât as resilient as he thought and was bound to be upset.
On the way back to the villa, Liam kept the pedal floored.
When he called Grandpa, no one answered. The most frustrating part was that even when he called the villa, no one picked up.
As a result, he drove faster and faster, completing what was usually a 40-minute journey in just 25 minutes today.
After parking the car, Liam hurriedly rushed to Grandpaâs private villa.
When he pushed open the study door, Old Master Spencer was gripping tightly the documents Jane Spencer had sent, collapsed in the chair, motionless.
Liam quickly ran inside the study, reached out his right hand to check Old Master Spencerâs breathing, and thankfully, it hadnât stopped. Then, he swiftly dialed 120.
A moment later, when the ambulance arrived, the villa was in a panic, finally realizing Old Master Spencer had fainted in the villa.
At the hospitalâs emergency room doorway, Liam waited for 40 minutes before the doctor finally came out.
The doctor said, "The old man suffered a shock; his heart couldnât take it and he temporarily fainted. Heâs fine now, but try to prevent him from being shocked in the future, given his heart condition."
"Mm!" Liam exhaled deeply, replying with a nod.
At this moment, Kinsley Spencer, Old Master Spencer, Second Uncle, and Hannah all hurriedly arrived.
Liam looked at Hannah, coldly saying, "If you canât keep this family together, then perhaps you shouldnât be here."
Liam had been furious when no one answered the phone at the villa earlier, but at least Grandpa was alright; otherwise, he wouldnât have let Jane Spencer and Hannah off the hook.
Liam rarely spoke to Hannah; although he didnât like her, it was the first time he talked to her so sternly.
Hannah was terrified, her face turning pale, cautiously explaining, "I went to see Elia today."
Liam ignored Hannahâs explanation, merely rolling his eyes dismissively at the people before him.
His gaze lingered briefly on Second Uncle, but only for a moment before he shifted his eyes away.
Watt Spencer noticed Liamâs gaze, his expression inscrutable, filled with guilt, remorse, or perhaps shameâit was unclear. He wanted to explain something, but seeing Liam nonchalantly look away, he said nothing.
Then, Liam stepped briskly towards the exit.
He didnât linger at the hospital but instead headed straight to Charlotte Owenâs villa with the documents Jane Spencer had given him.
He arrived at Charlotte Owenâs villa just in time for dinner, around 6 p.m.
In the living room, Charlotte Owen saw Liam enter with a face full of anger, and instinctively glanced behind him, asking, "Why did you come alone? Whereâs Maya?"
"To the study, I have questions for you." Liamâs voice was icy. Charlotte Owen could tell he wasnât happy.
She watched Liam stride to the second floor, holding a document envelope. A chill ran down Charlotte Owenâs spine; she was tense, thinking that the truth she hid for 27 years was finally coming out.
She followed him into the study, closing the door behind her, and walked towards the desk, trailing Liam.
Liam didnât sit down; he turned around before reaching the desk, threw the document envelope onto it, and stared at Charlotte Owen, demanding harshly, "Care to explain?"
Charlotte Owen was startled by Liamâs anger. She gently picked up the document envelope from the desk with her right hand, cautiously taking out the contents.
Upon seeing the letters DNA, Charlotte Owen held her breath, realizing her suspicions were right.
She took a deep breath, lifted her head, and stared directly at Liam, who immediately averted his gaze, turning to face the floor-to-ceiling window.
Charlotte Owen pressed her lips together, stared at his back for a moment, and calmly said, "Mm, thereâs no mistake in this report. After my sister married my brother-in-law, I often visited the Spencer Family, and gradually, I grew close to Watt Spencer. He was in an arranged marriage by Grandpa and had no feelings for his wife."
"But he couldnât bring himself to divorce. Later, when my sister was pregnant, so was I."
"Back then, the Spencer Family only had Jane Spencer and Kinsley Spencer. My sister gave birth to a daughter, so she particularly wanted a boy this time. When we had our prenatal check-ups, the doctor said she was having a girl and I was having a boy."
"My sister feared losing her status if she had another girl and nobody knew the father of my child. So, she said we should give birth on the same day; sheâd raise my son, and Iâd raise her daughter."
"I thought it over. Even if Spencer Clan Group ends up with you, it doesnât matter, since youâre still a child of the Spencer Family, not an outsider. So, I agreed."
"So, when my sister went into labor, I induced labor and gave birth to you."
Regarding Liamâs parentage, Charlotte Owenâs depiction was simple, and her emotions were calm, not causing much shock.
Liam had never doubted his parentage. He never imagined there was such a plot. He always believed he had no mother, never expecting her to be alive and well.
Only today did Liam understand why, when he was young, Charlotte Owen would always take him back to the Owen Family but not her sister, why she cared for him more than even Noah Owenâit turned out he was actually her son.
Liam found it very ironic, feeling that life is fraught with deceit everywhere. Maya faced such situations, and now he did too.
He took a deep breath, turned around, glanced at Charlotte Owen, and without a word or any anger, simply walked away.
Seeing Liam leave, Charlotte Owen immediately followed, grabbing his arm, pleading, "Stay for dinner before you go!"
