Liam Spencer is not easily fooled. Just from Jane Spencerās expression, he can guess what sheās thinking at this moment, but unfortunately for her, sheās bound to be disappointed."Liam, since when did you become so dithering and indecisive?" Jane has a bad premonition.
Immediately, Liam says calmly, "Nolan Woods is dead. Last night he held Maya hostage and demanded that I release you. I killed him."
Liam doesnāt want Jane to harbor too much resentment against too many people, so he omits that Xavier Graham fired the gun, claiming Nolan was killed by him.
Jane listens to Liamās news, furrowing her eyebrows tightly, clenching both hands into fists, lips curling into a mocking smile, questioning, "Impossible, Nolan canāt be dead. You must be lying. You want to see me broken and insane, so youāre deceiving me."
As for the news of Nolanās death, Jane would never believe it.
Janeās reaction was exactly as Liam had anticipated. For Jane, Nolan was indeed the most important person, and she was unwilling to accept the fact of his death.
Then Liam pulled out a pre-prepared envelope from his pocket, tossed it coldly onto the table between them, and said coldly, "Donāt believe me? See for yourself."
Seeing this, Jane immediately stood up from the chair, quickly grabbing the envelope with her handcuffed hands, tearing it open.
When she saw Nolanās memorial photo, her eyes instantly reddened, and her whole body began shaking uncontrollably, her hands trembling as she held the photo.ā
She felt that all of this must be a dream, a prank Liam was playing on her.
That man was just abroad with her a few days ago, how could he be dead in the blink of an eye? Jane couldnāt believe it and didnāt dare to.
Liam looked at Janeās bewildered and terrified expression, calmly saying, "I shot and killed him."
Suddenly, Jane collapsed, rushed at Liam, grabbing his collar with her hands, questioning, "Why? Why? Why did you kill him? I want to kill you, Iām going to kill you."
When Liam once again admitted to killing Nolan, Jane broke down, wishing she could strangle Liam.
So, her hands that were tugging at his collar quickly shifted to his neck, desperately choking him.
It seemed that if she could kill Liam, Nolan would somehow come back.
At this moment, Jane forgot that Liam had grown up with her, depending on each other.
Even though they were not biological siblings, Liam shared the same blood as her.
In the past, during their loneliest and most helpless times, they encouraged each other to get through.
But now, Jane forgot everything, only knowing that Liam killed the man she loved most, even stripped her of the last desire to live.
So she kept yelling to kill Liam.
Liam watched Janeās antics, took a deep breath, and countered by grabbing her neck, maintaining a certain distance from her.
He coldly asked, "What? Are you sad and upset now? When you had someone hit Ethan Turner with a car, didnāt you think his family would be sad? When you lured Ella Turner to kill me, did you not think Maya would be heartbroken? And you went so far as to repeatedly use Arthur River to kidnap Maya."
"Jane, what is your heart made of?"
Janeās stubbornness and lack of repentance infuriated Liam. He had not expected that at this moment, Jane still held no remorse, had not realized her mistakes, and didnāt understand that Nolan died because of her.
If it wasnāt for her greed, if she hadnāt played herself into prison, how could Nolan have lost his life for her?
Although Nolan wasnāt a good person, his deep affection for Jane still moved Liam. He couldnāt understand to what extent that man loved Jane, enough to watch her marry twice, and neither groom was him.
Jane listened to Liamās accusations, gripped his wrists tightly, and said fiercely, "Liam, I wonāt spare you, I will make you taste the feeling of losing someone you love the most."
Even now, Jane hasnāt realized that she canāt possibly fight Liam.
Now, she had played her last trump card away and wanted to turn the tables, but it would be difficult in this lifetime.
Liam looked into Janeās fierce eyes, calmly stared at her for a moment, then released her neck, throwing her aside.
After being flung away, Jane saw Liam intending to leave, quickly chased behind him, raised her handcuffed hands, and struck his head with the heavy iron cuffs.
Instantly, Liam was stunned by the blow, not expecting Jane to ambush him.
He raised his right hand, touched the severely painful back of his head, found his palm was bloodied; his head was cracked open by Jane.
As Liam turned around, Jane raised her arm again to strike his face, fortunately, Liam noticed quickly and took two quick steps to the left, dodging it.
At this moment, Jane looked like a madwoman, completely irrational, wielding the iron cuffs, persistently chasing Liam to hit him.
Then, hearing the commotion inside, the officers stationed outside the visitation room quickly rushed in.
Seeing Jane in a frenzy, one officer immediately pulled out the gun from his waist, pointed it at Jane, and said, "Jane Spencer, please calm down, or donāt blame me for being rude."
Jane was a woman, and an extremely incorrigible one too. While she was imprisoned, no one dared get near her because she would find a hundred reasons to accuse you of assaulting her, threatening to sue.
Therefore, even the police were reluctant to subdue Jane with force, instead opting to frighten her with a gun.
"Go ahead, shoot! Just shoot me dead!" Jane assumed a posture of readiness to die.
Then, two female officers rushed in, forcibly took Jane away. As she left, she continued to curse or curse Liam.
"Whew..." After Jane left, Liam wiped his head with his hand, helplessly sighed deeply, his heart feeling extremely unpleasant as he thought about Janeās madness.
"Third Young Master, do you need an ambulance?" The officer noticed Liamās bleeding and carefully asked, curious about this pair of siblings, wondering if money could truly make people heartless.
"No need." Facing the officerās politeness, Liam refused and left the police station, driving himself to the hospital.
As soon as Liam arrived at the hospital, he saw Maya Spencer rushing towards him, arriving before him, worry written all over her face.
Seeing Liam, she hurried over, walked behind him, circled him once, and asked, "Why so much blood? Is big sis crazy? Attacking someone in the police station, she must want to stay in there for life!"
"Iām fine, just a scratch." Liam feigned seriousness to reassure Maya despite the pain.
"Alright! The doctor arranged for you; letās quickly go get the wound treated." Maya, worried that Liamās bleeding might worsen, dragged him to get the wound dressed.
