Chapter 250 - How can I obtain your forgiveness?
Chapter 250 of "No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother" starts unfolding: After the doctor left, it was quiet at the entrance of the operating room, and... Discover more!
After the doctor left, it was quiet at the entrance of the operating room, and everyone was silent, waiting for good news.Half an hour later, the surgical lights went off, and Maya Spencer was wheeled out by the doctor and nurse. The bloody clothes on her had been replaced with hospital attire, and her forehead was wrapped in the same gauze as Liam Spencerâs.
Seeing this, several people rushed forward and asked, "How is Maya?"
The doctor glanced around the group and said unhurriedly, "The patient has a bump on her forehead, itâs not serious, there is mild brain concussion seen, no other injuries, and the blood on the clothes isnât hers. She mainly got a fright, sheâll be fine when she wakes up."
Upon hearing the doctorâs report, Liam and the others finally sighed in relief, but Liam still felt guilt and pain in his heart.
A moment later, Maya was sent to the ward, and Aron Hanson stood in the middle of the living room, looking at the three men in front of him, displeased, "Sister Taylor will be here soon, you all should leave first!"
Christopher Scott and Asher Norton, seeing Aron unpleasant, slinked away, but Liam didnât intend to leave.
Christopher, seeing Liam hadnât come out after a long time, went back and pulled him away.
Until the evening, they confirmed Sister Taylor had arrived, Aron had left, only then did Liam return to Mayaâs ward again.
The reason he didnât argue with Aron during the day was because Aron was Mayaâs uncle. Despite his power, his upbringing was excellent and wouldnât oppress others with authority.
Of course, only Maya in the hospital bed could enjoy this âspecial treatmentâ.
In the ward, Sister Taylor immediately stood up from her chair upon seeing Liam arrive, exclaiming in panic, "Third Young Master."
"Mm! Sister Taylor, you rest first! Iâll watch Maya." Liam said calmly.
"Third Young Master, youâre injured, go rest, I will stay with Miss," Sister Taylor was quite concerned about Liam missing the engagement banquet.
Though he had admitted his mistake well afterward, she still blamed Liam, so she didnât plan to vacate the ward for him.
Liam looked at Sister Taylorâs eyes, watched her firmly standing by Mayaâs bed, and didnât negotiate with her but simply walked to the bedâs left side himself, sat on the sofa, keeping his eyes fixed on Maya.
Sister Taylor wasnât embarrassed; since Liam sat on the left, she sat on the right, like guardian angels flanking Maya.
Sister Taylor, in her forties, managed the entire villa during the day, so her stamina wasnât as good as Liamâs, and she felt sleepy after half an hour.
Opposite, Liam watched her nodding off, but didnât send her away. He picked up the spare blanket from the bed and draped it over her as she slept.
In the deep silence of night, the dim-lit ward became even quieter, and Liam clearly heard the breathing of the two women.
At this moment, he silently moved the sofa a bit closer to the bed and tightly held Mayaâs right hand, watching her without moving.
Though her body was not seriously injured, he still felt pain for her, for her stubbornness, why couldnât she bow her head to him just once? Why couldnât she accept his apology and give him a chance?
He took a deep breath, gently lifted her small hand to his lips, and said with heartache, "How can I earn your forgiveness."
Regarding Maya, he tried both soft and hard approaches, but she remained unmoved, not even giving him a proper glance, making Liam very anxious.
While he kissed her small hand, Mayaâs brows suddenly furrowed, her breathing gradually became heavier.
Liam, seeing her tense and fearful appearance, quickly patted her chest to comfort her.
"Liam! Liam!" Then, he heard Maya calling his name in her dream, and not just once.
Thus, he immediately stood up from the chair, leaned closer to her face, gently stroked her small cheek to soothe her, "Iâm here, Iâm here!"
He guessed that Maya must have been frightened by his bloodied appearance, causing her nightmare.
"Third Brother! Third Brother!"
"Sorry! Sorry! I didnât do it on purpose." Soon after, her voice came again from the bed.
Liam, hearing her apology, felt warmth in his heart. He gently placed his large hand on her small cheek, comforting her, "Itâs okay, Iâm fine."
Liam guessed right, Maya was indeed having a nightmare. In her dream, she saw Liam beaten to death by her, saw him seeking revenge, even taking away her child, so she feared and kept apologizing to Liam, hoping heâd return the child to her.
Three years ago, the child she lost had always been Mayaâs inner demon, although she kept comforting herself that losing him wasnât intentional, she still couldnât escape the pursuit of nightmares.
At this moment, Sister Taylor suddenly woke up, saw the scene before her, watched Liamâs tenderness and Mayaâs sleep-talking, and the thin blanket on her, she felt embarrassed to stay any longer.
So she immediately got up from the sofa, bid farewell to Liam, and left first.
Before leaving, Liam instructed her not to tell Maya he came to see her.
Sister Taylor knew Liam feared causing Maya more resentment, so she agreed.
After Sister Taylor left, Liam still stayed by Mayaâs side until dawn broke, then Sister Taylor returned to the hospital, and he quietly left, heading back to his own ward.
In the ward, he stood calmly in front of the floor-to-ceiling window pondering his relationship with Maya.
At the same time, he fondly remembered her saying âThird Brotherâ, it had been so long since he heard her call him that.
He wanted to hug her, to tell her he liked her, very much!
But having never confessed, Liam didnât know how to open his mouth, and their relationship was so complex that even if he confessed, it might backfire, making Maya feel he mistook her for Grace.
So he simply dismissed the thought and decided not to express his feelings for now.
"How is everything?" As he was deep in thought, Xavier Graham and Lucas Shaw arrived, looked at Liamâs lonely back, and could tell he was worrying about someone.
Upon hearing Xavierâs voice, Liam turned around casually, glanced at everyone, and said calmly, "Itâs fine."
"Third Brother, little heartâs awake, do you want to go over?" Christopher looked at someoneâs spiritless eyes and suggested he go over first.
"I wonât go over." Upon hearing Maya was awake, Liam finally stopped being troubled.
Then, he looked at Xavier and said, "Xavier, keep a close eye on Hanson Clanâs recent movements, give Aron some pressure."
"Are you still fighting to the death?" Xavier was a bit baffled by Liam, clearly heartaching for someone, yet still wanted to provoke her, couldnât he let her be?
Actually, Liam didnât want Maya involved in any business matters at all, just wanted her by his side, heâd take care of her. Besides, Aron wasnât genuinely trying to promote her by giving her authority, there were deeper intentions.
