"Iāll call you a lapdog! Lapdog! Lapdog!" Ella Turner closed her eyes tightly, continually calling Elijah Reed a lapdog.Seeing her speak without any restraint, Elijah was so furious that blood rushed to his head. He clamped her neck with his left hand and held her soft face with his right, bent down, and unceremoniously bit her soft face.
Instantly, Ella was dumbfounded. She then felt her cheek hurt badly. When she raised her little hand to push Elijah, he bit her even harder.
Ella wanted to curse him, but the pain was so intense that she couldnāt even open her mouth.
After that, she wailed, tears āpatteringā and sliding down onto Elijahās face. She had actually been bitten into tears by Elijah.
Listening to the girlās cries, Elijah couldnāt get rid of the image of her cursing him, so his anger not only didnāt abate but instead made him bite her even harder.
At this moment, Ella dared not push him anymore because the more she pushed, the more painful the bites became. So, she tightly grasped his arms, allowing him to bite her face until he calmed down.
She cried and cried, feeling like the flesh on her face would be bitten off, so she cried even more sorrowfully.
Originally, the crowd watching thought they were a couple playfully messing around and believed Elijah was kissing Ella, until they heard Ella sobbing heavily. Only then did they realize that the clean and handsome boy was biting people.
Finally, the crowd couldnāt take it anymore and slowly approached, pulling on Elijahās clothes and urging, "Young man, this isnāt right. Youāve made the girl cry; let go already."
"Hey, handsome, enough! If you bite the pretty girlās face until it breaks, will you take responsibility?"
"Exactly! You look so refined; how can you be so rude, biting a girlās face in public? Arenāt you embarrassed?"
"Handsome guy, enough is enough."
When everyone started condemning Elijah, his mind finally cleared from the word ādog,ā realizing he seemed to be doing something very wrong.
Thus, he immediately removed his large hands from Ellaās neck and the back of her head, raised his right hand, wiped his mouth awkwardly, and looked embarrassedly at Ella.
He saw Ellaās fair and pink face marked with a circle of red and purple bite marks, with her hands still clutching his arms, crying "Wow wow."
As he cast a sidelong glance around, he found everyone was pointing at him, criticizing him.
For a moment, Elijah was beyond embarrassed, wishing to dig a hole and disappear.
"It hurts! The flesh is bitten off." Ella tightly grabbed Elijahās arm, sobbing with grievance and pain, not daring to touch her face, fearing it would be a cavity if she did.
Elijah looked at the girl crying out in pain, twisted his arm to struggle a bit, but couldnāt shake Ella off.
Seeing the drool from his mouth still on the bite marks on her face, he blushed, quickly raised his right hand, wiped the drool from her face, and replied, "Nothingās bitten off."
"Youāre lying. You canāt leave. Iāll call my brother." Every time Ella was wronged, Ethan Turner would support her.
At this moment, she was crying while rummaging through her bag for her phone, only to discover after a while that Elijah had already taken it away. So she released her right hand holding his arm and stretched her palm out in front of him, saying, "Give me back my phone."
Seeing that she was calling for reinforcements, Elijah felt guilty and hastily removed her left hand from his arm, pretending to be calm, placed the phone in her hand, then turned to run away, but was stopped by the crowd watching the drama.
"Hey, handsome, youāre too irresponsible, biting the girlās face like this and wanting to leave without even an apology?"
"Exactly, you bit down too hard; itās bruised purple. It must hurt a lot."
Instantly, Elijah felt even more embarrassed, blushing as he explained, "She called me names first."
"Oh! So she called you names, and you bite her back? Really, a gentleman uses words rather than fists!"
With no other choice, Elijah had to turn again to Ella, look at her with great embarrassment, and say, "Ella, sorry about that. I have to work. Iām leaving first. If your face has any issues, contact me for compensation."
Anyway, Ella had his phone number and his work address. If she wanted revenge, he couldnāt escape.
But the scene was just too embarrassing, and he wanted to leave immediately.
Listening to Elijahās apology, Ella grabbed him tightly again, crying, "Youāre not allowed to leave; my brother is coming soon."
Her face was still burning with pain! How could she let Elijah go so easily? Even if she couldnāt beat Elijah, she had to wait for Ethan to come and help her bite back.
"Ella, donāt be ridiculous. You called me a dog, so I bit you once, but I wonāt drag you to meet the BOSS. Consider things even." Elijah said this with a guilty conscience, feeling he might never break free from the association with ādogā for his life.
"I didnāt provoke you; why did you bite me? You canāt leave. Iāll have my brother bite back for me." Ella couldnāt feel at ease until she vented her grievance.
"Let go of me." Elijah said this and pried her hand off, pushed through the crowd, and hurriedly fled.
The thought of being bitten back by Ethan was too beautiful to imagine, so the best strategy was to run away.
"So irresponsible, biting the girl like this and not even taking her to the hospital."
"Exactly, he looks so genteel; how could he do such a thing."
Under everyoneās condemnation, Elijah finally left guilty.
As he exited the scene, he couldnāt help but feel remorse, recalling the bite mark on Ellaās face. He exhaled deeply, scratched his head, and blamed himself: Why did I bother with her for no reason?
When Elijah returned to the top-floor conference room of the department store, Liam Spencer was sitting at the meeting table, flipping through his phone nonchalantly and asking, "So, is the issue settled?"
"Yeah! Itās settled." Elijah was still immersed in the dispute with Ella earlier, his expression still anxious.
Hearing his slightly tense voice, Liam glanced up at him, noticing his tightly knit eyebrows and complicated expression, as if he had done something wrong. This expression rarely appeared on Elijahās face.
This made Liam curious, so he asked, "Why are you so nervous? Did you do something wrong?"
"No, just encountered someone, had a little conflict." Elijah scratched his head to explain without bringing up Ellaās name.
"A woman?" Liam grew even more curious.
"Yeah!"
"Elijah, you should find a woman." Liam smiled with a hint of meaning, making Elijah even more embarrassed.
Thinking, BOSS, youāre making fun of me. I was helping you vent, okay?
Meanwhile, in the cafe downstairs, Ella was covering the left side of her face with her left hand, pouting, and approached Maya Spencer with grievance.
Maya looked at the long-missed Ella, noticed her red eyes, immediately stood up, and held her hand, asking, "Ella, whatās wrong? Why did you cut your hair?"
