It seems that in this life, he can forget about escaping from Miss Fiveās grasp....
Meanwhile, at the Hanson Clan Group, Aron Hanson, though appearing calm, was actually restless. He had sent someone he trusted to investigate the matter, unsure when he would get results, and unsure if the person who sent the email to Ella Turner would cause more trouble.
Last night, he pondered the whole night but couldnāt figure out who had something on him.
Actually, it wasnāt that he couldnāt figure it out, he simply didnāt want to accept it. Given that woman intended to harm her own brother, it wasnāt out of the question she would harm him as well.
However, Aron Hanson didnāt want to admit his poor judgment in marrying such a ruthless woman, so he deceived himself, hoping this matter had nothing to do with Jane Spencer.
"Knock, knock," at that moment, the door to Aronās office was knocked on. He feigned calmness and said, "Come in."
The person who entered left Aron dumbfounded. He never expected the police to come so quickly. Taking a deep breath, he concluded that the person who sent the email to Ella also sent evidence to the police station.
Aron tried to calm his breathing, maintaining a composed smile as he asked, "What is it?"
"Mr. Hanson, thereās a car accident case, and we need your cooperation in the investigation. Please cooperate."
"A car accident case? Alright." Even though Aronās heart sank to the bottom, he pretended to be surprised and unfazed, as if he was unaware of the situation.
To maintain his image, Aron cooperated fully and got into the police car, seemingly just someone heading to the police station for business, not a suspect.
After arriving at the police station, Aron cooperated with the policeās questioning but firmly denied any involvement in the car accident or knowledge of the drugs in Ethan Turnerās car.
Moments later, Aronās lawyer arrived and informed him that Ella did not file charges against him; instead, the police would be prosecuting him, stating the evidence they had was highly unfavorable, since the money trail led back to him.
Hearing the lawyerās report, Aron took a deep breath, rubbing his temples with his hands, weakly saying, "Lawyer Hobbs, can you bring Maya here for me? I need to see her."
As things stood, with the police unwilling to believe him or procure new evidence, and his lawyer unable to help him obtain new evidence, he could only rely on Maya to ask Liam Spencer for help. Without extreme measures, it was impossible to prove his innocence.
Listening to Aronās request, the lawyer quickly brought Maya to him.
In the meeting room, Aron stared directly at Maya and said, "Maya, you must believe your uncle. Iām being detained with no way to find evidence. Please help your uncle."
"Third Brother has agreed to continue investigating this matter," Maya responded calmly.
At that moment, seeing Aronās nervous and disordered state, she felt he truly wasnāt lying. If he were really guilty, he wouldnāt turn to her for help. He wouldnāt focus on the evidence but instead rely on the lawyer to clear him.
"Maya, youāre right. Uncle shouldnāt have married Jane Spencer. Though itās surprising, besides Jane Spencer, thereās no one else I suspect. I suspect she knew of my actions long ago and struck after I withdrew my own plans."
"I understand," Mayaās expression was very serious, as she too had her suspicions about Sister Jane Spencer.
Yet, how could she ask Liam to investigate his own sister in place of her uncle? Such a request was too harsh to make.
Therefore, she decided not to share her uncleās suspicions with Liam, but would instead let Liam investigate on his own. Whatever he found was better than nothing, given the harsh truth.
"Maya, you must believe in your uncle; donāt give up on him. First, find those two drivers involved in the accident."
"Uncle, donāt worry about whatās happening outside; I have it under control."
At this point, Aron had no choice but to pin his hopes on Maya. Furthermore, he increasingly suspected Jane Spencer, as despite the magnitude of the trouble he was in, she had yet to show up.
It wasnāt until three in the afternoon that Jane Spencer arrived in a hurry to meet with Aron.
In the meeting room, Jane feigned innocence and said, "Aron, this is all just a misunderstanding, isnāt it?"
Aron glanced at Jane, feigning a pained expression and replied, "I clearly told those two drivers to stop, but they acted on their own, causing the accident. Lawyer Hobbs is helping me find evidence; there shouldnāt be any issues."
Jane watched Aronās pained expression, tightly holding his hand in comfort, and said, "I believe you, you will be alright."
Immediately, she shifted the topic to the company, saying, "After you left with the police today, there was chaos and rumors in the company. To calm everyone down, I held a shareholdersā meeting this morning to stabilize the situation. While youāre not here, Iāll keep an eye on the company to ensure nothing goes wrong. You have to get out quickly."
This morning, just half an hour after Aron left, Jane convened a shareholdersā meeting to announce Aronās association with a criminal case and that during his absence, she would serve as acting Director Chair, overseeing the companyās affairs.
Initially, no one was suspicious of Aronās being taken by the police, assuming he was going to the police station as a witness or to post bail. But after Janeās announcement, the company truly descended into panic.
Because coming from Janeās mouth, it left no room for doubt.
Listening to Janeās report, Aron wished he could strangle her, thinking to himself that as soon as he left the company, she held a meeting. Her eyes clearly set on the company, this wasnāt out of concern for him. Any normal wife would first think of her husband, not the company.
Thus, Aron became more certain that Jane was the one who set up the āmantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behindā, the mastermind behind it all. She kept saying she hoped he would come out soon, but actually, she couldnāt wait for him to be executed.
Though filled with rage, Aron managed to maintain a fake smile, holding Janeās hand, and said, "Jane, thank you for your hard work during this time."
"Itās no trouble. Iāll be waiting for you to come out," she replied. Meanwhile, she was hoping the matter would be resolved quickly so she could officially take her place as Director Chair.
Aron refrained from turning against Jane, fearing his impulsiveness could anger her into eliminating those two drivers, sealing his fate.
At this moment, in Ethan Turnerās apartment, Hudson Moore had just met with Ethan and came to find Ella Turner.
He said, "Ella, Aron has already been detained by the police."
"So soon? I was planning on waiting until Mayaās emotions stabilized before pressing charges against him," Ella said, surprised by the rapid developments.
