Chapter 419 - A Family
Chapter 419 of "No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother" starts revealing the story: She glanced at Henry Reid and then asked indifferently, "Is your injury healed? You were... Donât miss it!
She glanced at Henry Reid and then asked indifferently, "Is your injury healed? You were discharged so quickly.""Itâs nothing, just minor injuries," Henry replied as he casually handed the gift he brought to the servant.
Noah Owen stood awkwardly beside them; it was her first time bringing a boy home, and they were discussing marriage.
Charlotte Owen noticed Noahâs uneasy demeanor and casually said, "Have a seat!"
At this point, Henry and Noah shared a glance and then sat down on the sofa next to them.
Charlotte was well aware of why they had returned, yet she pretended to be ignorant and didnât bring it up.
After a tense moment, Henry signaled to Noah with his eyes and looked at Charlotte, smiling cheerfully, "Auntie, Noah and I plan to set the wedding date for the 8th of next month, 10 days earlier than Sister Jane Spencer."
Charlotte, listening to Henryâs arrangement, glanced at Noah and asked, "Noah, have you made up your mind?"
"Mom, Iâve made up my mind, and Iâve decided to have the baby," Noah replied seriously, placing her right hand on her lower belly.
"Third Young Master, Miss Hanson, youâre back!" Liam Spencer led Maya Spencer back as the three of them were getting into the main topic.
On the sofa, Charlotteâs face immediately darkened upon hearing that Maya was there.
It was obvious that she was not welcoming Mayaâs visit, because she still remembered how Maya nearly angered her to sickness during her last visit to the villa.
Still, Liam brought her back, and she couldnât just kick her out, so she put on a sour face for her to see!
However, Maya couldnât care less about Charlotteâs unwelcoming attitude.
Following Liam into the living room, she rudely sat down and then smiled at the servant, "Sister Mason, I donât like floral tea, do you have any juice?"
"We do! We do!" The servant quickly answered and proceeded to bring her fresh squeezed juice.
"Haha! Truly unapologetic." Mayaâs arrival diverted Charlotteâs attention entirely on her, with no mind to discuss Noah and Henryâs marriage.
Regarding Noah and Henryâs marriage, Charlotte was more interested in breaking up Liam and Maya.
Unfortunately, last time she arranged for about 40 girls to create a stir, but none made any waves, they all failed, which made Charlotte increasingly resentful towards Maya.
On the sofa, Maya casually drank a big gulp of juice, lazily glanced at Charlotte, and said nonchalantly, "This orange is a bit sour, Noah, this suits you better." She blatantly ignored Charlotte.
Charlotte looked at the girlâs arrogant demeanor, nearly exploding with anger, wanting to snatch the juice from her hand, but Maya finished it in three gulps.
"Pfft...!" Noah snickered at Mayaâs lazy posture, she had never seen someone turn Charlotte so red with anger, Maya truly was quite wicked.
Liam, seeing Charlotteâs angry look, shook his head helplessly, then sat beside Maya, held her chin, and asked, "Can you be a bit more polite?"
His politeness didnât mean treating herself as a guest, but having a courteous attitude towards Charlotte.
But that person just dismissively said, "My not fighting back is already the biggest courtesy."
"Maya, have you figured out who the master of this house really is?" Charlotte finally lost her patience and erupted.
Whenever these two met, they never failed to argue, with Charlotte always at a disadvantage, but she wasnât discouraged, losing a hundred battles but fighting a hundred times. She refused to believe she couldnât beat Maya. á´ĘÉŞs á´Ęá´á´á´á´Ę ÉŞs á´á´á´ á´á´á´ ĘĘ N0velFire.É´et
"Come on! Why worry about such things! After all, weâre all family." Facing Charlotteâs anger, Maya remained in her lazy attitude, not caring at all about her pretentiousness.
In short, ignoring her left her with no means.
Beside them, Liam was amused by someoneâs shameless talk of being family, his smile exceptionally bright, enjoying Mayaâs sarcastic behavior immensely.
"Mom! Do you have any opinion about my wedding date with Henry?" Noah felt neglected as Charlotte preferred arguing with Maya over her marriage issue, and she unhappily asked her with a black face.
Only then did Charlotte realize she was discussing serious matters, and she glared at Maya fiercely before starting the marriage negotiations.
An hour later, they noted down a rough timeline and events, settled on the wedding company.
"Second Miss, itâs time to eat." Since Charlotte wasnât married, Sister Taylor always referred to her as Second Miss.
"Henry, keep an eye on the guest list, donât miss anyone or it might offend people," Charlotte reminded him while standing up from the sofa.
"Mom, I understand," Henry sweetly changed his tone, calling Charlotte mom right away.
"Alright, you all go to the dining room first, Iâll go to the study and be right back," Charlotte said, heading upstairs, followed closely by Liam.
In the study, Charlotte watched Liam who followed up, gave him a nonchalant glare, still minding that Liam was with Maya.
Liam wasnât angry at Charlotteâs look, just smiled at her lightly.
Charlotte saw Liamâs mischievous smile and immediately spoke first, "Donât say youâre also getting married, I wonât agree."
"Aunt, do you think getting married requires your approval?" Liam furrowed his brow, returning to his usual aloofness.
Charlotte, seeing his icy attitude, gritted her teeth thinking that these brats wouldnât even consider her, were they trying to drive her mad?
After fuming, she asked with a black face, "Since you donât need to ask me, why did you follow?"
"Aunt, donât keep throwing attitude at Maya, three years ago she aborted the child because during her pregnancy I let her drink alcohol. As for the affair she mentioned recently, she was just provoking you, you donât need to take it to heart."
Liam knew Charlotte didnât like Maya, and was most upset about the child from three years ago, so he explained the matter to her, advising her not to continue bickering with Maya.
If she didnât antagonize Maya, then Maya naturally wouldnât antagonize her first.
By the bay window, Charlotte was stunned by Liamâs explanation, furrowed her brows, staring intently at him.
Over the years, she had blamed Maya, accusing her of being heartless and taking the initiative to abort Liamâs child. Now knowing the truth left her a bit at a loss.
If what Liam said was true, then Maya should be the one feeling wronged.
She took a deep breath, gritted her teeth, and asked, "Why did you let her drink alcohol?"
"Things werenât going well back then," Liam did not elaborate on the reason.
But Charlotte understood his bad temper, and at this moment, she finally realized why Maya left for three years.
