Chapter 486 - Is There Anything
Chapter 486 of "No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother" opens presenting: "Maya, you wonât be harmed, Arthur wonât hurt you," Aron comforted. His concern for Maya wasnât... Donât stop now!
"Maya, you wonât be harmed, Arthur wonât hurt you," Aron comforted. His concern for Maya wasnât feigned; he wanted Arthur to see how much he cared about Maya, hoping heâd be gentle and not hurt her.
However, when Arthur saw Maya casting a pitiful glance at Aron, he immediately struck her head with the gun butt, threatening, "Behave, donât try any tricks."
Maya was stunned by the blow, furrowing her brows, not daring to move recklessly.
"Arthur, you can let Maya go now; at this distance, Liam wonât catch up."
Listening to Aronâs repeated commands, Arthur pushed Maya forward and then looked at Aron, saying, "Young Master, get on the plane quickly."
As he saw Liam and Elijah moving, he immediately pointed the gun at Maya, shouting angrily at Liam and Elijah on the opposite side, "Stay where you are, donât move, let her walk over by herself."
Liam had never been threatened like this in his life, nor had he ever felt as frustrated as at this moment.
The fire in his heart nearly burned him up, but he dared not release it, instead clutching his fists tightly and obeying Arthurâs orders, staying put while thinking of a hundred ways to kill him.
As Aron passed parallel to Maya, he nodded at her, signaling not to be afraid.
Maya looked at Aronâs gaze, and her eyes reddened suddenly.
Although she had been living with Aron for these years, their relationship was polite; Aron hadnât showed her much nurturing, and beyond financial dependence, Maya had no other reliance on him.
However, at this moment, she felt Aronâs care, care from an uncle.
She had always thought her uncle was merely using her, but now realized he had feelings for her, and being cared for by family felt wonderful.
As Aron walked slowly towards Arthur, the man suddenly cocked the trigger, smiling at Aron, "Young Master, my wife is pregnant, please take care of her; for the sake of your future security, I wonât let the company fall into Mayaâs hands."
Saying this, he aimed the gun at Maya.
To ensure Aron and Lily had financial support after fleeing, he never intended to spare Maya from the start.
If the company fell into Mayaâs hands after Aron left, all his efforts would be in vain, especially since Aron had indeed killed the man she loved; Maya would certainly not provide for Aron and Lily, so he must kill Maya to let the company naturally fall into Janeâs hands, who at least was Aronâs wife and would not leave him to die.
Arthur had been thoroughly and completely brainwashed by Jane.
Listening to Arthurâs arrangements, Aron suddenly stopped in his tracks and furiously questioned Arthur, "Arthur, whatever Iâm planning, donât do anything foolish; if you murder, your life will be over, and no one will take care of your wife and child."
"Young Master, you go! Ever since I got the idea to kidnap Maya, I havenât planned to leave alive. I know, even if I escape to the ends of the earth, Third Young Master wonât let me go, so I wonât implicate you and Lily. You go! Iâll take responsibility alone. Ethan was hit by someone I sent, and Maya was kidnapped by me, it has nothing to do with you two," Arthur said determinedly.
Liam saw Aron suddenly stop and knew that Arthur had murderous intent towards Maya, so he immediately shouted loudly at Maya, "Maya, get down."
Hearing Liamâs warning, Maya reflexively glanced back and saw Arthur aiming a gun at her.
Seeing this, Maya immediately lied on the ground and crawled towards Liam, who could no longer care about anything else and rushed towards Maya with Elijah following behind.
Arthurâs only target was Maya, and he had only 6 bullets; he had to use them all on her to ensure her death. He didnât want to leave her any chance for survival, afraid that if he missed one shot, she might still live.
Hence, he didnât fire at Liam and Elijah but chased Maya instead.
Seeing this, Aron turned and ran toward Arthur, attempting to stop him, but the man seemed crazed, commanding Aron to get on the plane while chasing Maya.
Maya heard Arthur chasing her, so frightened she could almost break down, thinking if she continued crawling slowly, she would be waiting for him to kill her.
She instantly sprang up from the ground, bolting away, zigzagging in an S-shape, dashing left and right.
In the underground parking lot earlier, she heard Lily and Arthurâs conversation, learning this man couldnât use a gun, and so, his aim couldnât be that accurate; if she kept moving, he couldnât easily hit her.
Sure enough, when Maya got up to flee, Arthur fired without much thought, but indeed missed, hitting the pillar to her right.
At that moment, the police waiting outside the terminal stirred restlessly and immediately charged in with guns.
But Maya was in front of the target, Aron was behind, making the distances between them very close, and with all three running, the police dared not fire recklessly, fearing to hurt the innocent.
Seeing Arthur truly fired, Aron panicked, knowing he wouldnât stop until hitting Maya, but once he did, his life would imminently end; once Maya fell, Arthur would stop pursuing, and thatâs when the police could act, leaving him no escape.
Watching Liam and Elijah getting closer, he was blank; if they got any nearer, more injuries would follow.
So without thinking further, Aron took a deep breath and ran madly towards Maya.
Meanwhile, Arthur fired a second shot at Maya.
This time it aimed directly at her back, but as the bullet flew, Aron suddenly embraced Maya, knocking her to the ground, and his ear rang with Aronâs yell: "Drop the gun, lie down."
Aron was urging him to surrender and save his life first.
Listening to Aronâs reminder, Arthur was initially bewildered, but when the corner of his eye caught sight of more police officers suddenly in the terminal, he immediately threw down his gun and lay motionless on the ground with his head in his hands.
His reaction was so timely that the subsequent gunshots didnât hit him.
Seeing him disarm and surrender, the police ceased their fire.
Arthur watched Maya and Aron lying on the ground not far away, dumbfounded, unable to understand why Aron saved Maya, the woman who wanted him dead, and whether the shot had hit Maya or Aronâhe was utterly confused.
"Maya, are you alright?"
"Miss Spencer, Young Master, are you both okay?"
