Chapter 166 - Rotten Inside
Chapter 166 of "No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother" opens revealing the plot: Maya Spencer saw the man holding two large bags of food and immediately got up... Discover what happens!
Maya Spencer saw the man holding two large bags of food and immediately got up to greet him, reaching out to take the items from his hands.
The man dodged to the side right away and said, "Come on! Donât make trouble for me. Sit tight. If Liam Spencer finds out Iâm hiding you, heâll hate me to death."
Listening to his words, Maya smiled cheerfully and said, "I know Brother Morris wonât betray me."
"Donât sweet-talk me. Iâm giving you a few days to quietly think about handling the relationship between you two. After three days, you must show up. Avoiding wonât solve the problem. What are you hiding from?" The man scolded Maya harshly as he saw the forced smile on her face.
This morning at ten thirty, while he was busy at work, Maya called him nervously, saying, "Brother Morris, help me!"
After hanging up, he went to the place she specified and brought her back. He initially thought something serious happened, but it turned out she had argued with Liam Spencer and run away from home.
Faced with Mayaâs earnest pleadings, he clenched his teeth and reluctantly agreed to hide her for a few days to let her think over the relationship.
Listening to his scolding, Mayaâs expression was awkward, but she continued smiling. She said, "I know, I just want to calm down for a few days; Iâll be fine then."
"Letâs hope so! Quickly eat something to fill your stomach, Iâll cook for you." While speaking, the man piled the snacks onto the coffee table, then carried the freshly bought ingredients into the kitchen to cook for her.
"Thank you, Brother Morris!" Maya was deeply moved by his kindness and inexplicably found herself trusting him.
Maya spent two whole days thinking about fleeing to Lillian Morris. In S City, she had no one she could trust, and her sudden disappearance would first make Liam Spencer think of the Hanson Family.
So she couldnât go to the Hanson Family, especially since her uncle had just buried her mother in the cemetery; she couldnât bring more trouble to her uncle, or it would certainly shake his standing with the Hansons.
And turning to the Turner siblings was certainly an option Liam would think of as well.
Originally, she thought to rely on Hannah, threatening her to hide herself, but since she was still a Spencer, she was more afraid Hannah would turn her in to earn merit.
After considering all options, she felt Lillian Morris was the best choiceâLiam would never suspect his brother-in-law of hiding her.
The safest place is the most dangerous place!
At the kitchen door, Maya leaned against the sliding door, watching Lillian Morris cook for her.
She had never seen a man cook. Even if the Spencer Familyâs chef was a man, she had never seen it, much less a man like Lillian Morris cooking.
Suddenly, Maya felt warm inside and thought Sister Jane Spencer was truly lucky.
"What? You want to show off your skills too?" Lillian Morris glanced at Maya casually and asked nonchalantly.
"Iâm just watching!" Maya replied indifferently.
"Today youâve turned S City upside down. Liam would love to search every sewer."
"Heh heh!" Hearing this, Maya smirked foolishly, feeling increasingly that she could never face Liam again.
She knew well about that manâs temper. Todayâs rage was so intense that if they really met, who could say if sheâd survive.
"Have you talked with Liam Spencer? What did he say?" Lillian Morris asked as he cut vegetables.
"He said to have the baby, and heâll compensate me," Maya answered truthfully.
Hearing her report, Lillian Morris was infuriated and slammed the garlic on the chopping board, breaking it hard. "This guy, so unprincipled, youâre not just anyone."
Then he added, "No, I need to talk to Jane Spencer and let her properly educate Liam Spencer, whatâs with these values?"
Upon hearing him planning to speak to Sister Jane Spencer, Maya rushed into the kitchen, grabbing Lillianâs arm, saying, "Brother Morris, please donât! Blabbing will reveal everything, and youâll definitely be held accountable for hiding me."
"Youâre threatening me? That makes me think turning myself in makes more sense," Lillian said as he was about to untie his apron to call Liam Spencer.
"Iâm not! Iâm just stating facts. Also, donât let Sister Jane Spencer persuade him. I donât like Liam at all and never thought of marrying him." That was Mayaâs true feeling.
Moreover, in her mind, Sister Jane Spencerâs values werenât upright eitherâdidnât she think her brother was so outstanding that countless women wanted to bear his child? She couldnât care less about letting her speak well for her, and she never intended to be with Liam Spencer.
Hearing Mayaâs rejection to marry Liam and the word âlike,â Lillian Morris chuckled out loudâit had been ages since he heard such an innocent and untarnished joke; marriage ought to be for love, not for gain.
In Lillian Morrisâs life, he has rarely seen marriages out of love; nearly all were for gain, and everyone knew it, tacitly agreeingâforever placing gain above all else.
Thus, listening to Mayaâs reason for rejecting Liam Spencer seemed amusing to him.
Watching the man laughing at her, Maya rolled her eyes in disdain and protested, "Whatâs so funny!"
When Lillian turned to look at Maya, he then noticed she was still so young, only 19, believing in love, trusting in marriage, naturally.
Once, he too had such dreams, but they were crushed by reality.
Seeing her innocent gaze, he stopped laughing at her, merely helplessly sighing, "When you grow older, youâll surely regret, regret missing a good opportunity."
"I wonât. Staying away from worthless people is the best choice Iâve made in my life." Maya firmly believed she wouldnât regret todayâs decision even until her dying day.
"Maya, why do you dislike Liam so much? Heâs handsome, wealthy, and youngâwhat are you thinking?"
"All that glitters is not gold!" Feeling unable to have a proper conversation, Maya turned away from Lillian Morrisâs ongoing praise for Liam and left the kitchen, leaving him to cook alone.
By seven oâclock, Lillian called Maya to eat, but after calling for quite a while, she didnât respond.
After several calls without any reaction, he walked into the living room to find Maya lying sideways on the couch, motionless.
Not rushed, Lillian calmly squatted in front of her, pushed her a few times, saying, "Maya, come eat! Eat first, then sleep!"
But after several pushes with no response, Lillian finally realized she wasnât asleep; she had fainted.
Immediately, he picked her up from the sofa, placed her on the big bed in the bedroom, and called the family doctor.
