Chapter 418 - Just Get Married
Chapter 418 of "No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother" begins revealing exciting developments: Noah Owen looked at the manâs serious expression and couldnât help but bite her lip... Donât stop now!
Noah Owen looked at the manâs serious expression and couldnât help but bite her lip and smile. She couldnât quite explain why hearing his proposal made her so happy.
Then she rolled her eyes at Henry Reid and said nonchalantly, "Alright, alright, Iâll marry you, but why make it so emotional?"
"Noah, youâre not going to back out this time, are you?" Henry asked, sitting up with effort from the bed and pinching her chin.
Noah, seeing the manâs smug look, quickly tugged on his ear and said, "Oh! I just agreed to marry you, and now youâre giving me a hard time, even daring to lay a hand on me."
Henry, seeing the girl joking with him, beamed like a flower, quickly caught her small hand, placed it near his lips, and kissed the back of her hand.
He even felt a bit grateful to Elia Spencer; if not for her mischief, how would he have had such an opportunity to express himself and touch Noahâs heart, making her agree to marry him?
At this moment, looking at Noahâs gentle smile, he felt so warm inside, finally finding a girl he truly cared about, finally having a life of his own. He never expected to end up with Noah, this âold woman,â indeed what they call fate.
Henry stared intently at Noah, making her feel embarrassed. Noah, noticing his intense gaze, couldnât help but blush.
Noah had never dated nor had feelings for any boy, but she could feel that if she had to give up her and Henryâs child, it would break her heart, making her reluctant; when Henry was cold to her, not comforting her, she felt uneasy; thinking about having no further connection with him made her sleepless at night.
However, all these fears vanished when Henry proposed to her.
Since marrying Henry made her feel comfortable, why not marry him?
Henry gazed at the girlâs blushing face, kissed the back of her hand tightly, and smiled blissfully.
"What are you doing?" Noah nervously pulled back her hand, not yet accustomed to such tenderness.
"Wifey, your surgery will probably have to wait until I get discharged," Henry quickly switched his address to call her âwifey.â
Hearing Henry call her âwifeyâ made Noah both happy and shy, her eyes darted around, she bit her lip, not daring to look at Henry.
"Wifey! Wifey!" Henry saw her sneaking a smile and deliberately called her âwifeyâ a few more times.
Noah, teased by his playful demeanor, bit her lip tightly, trying not to laugh. After a moment, she finally looked at Henry and casually said, "Iâve decided to have the baby."
"Wifey, are you serious?" Overjoyed, Henry almost jumped out of bed in excitement. Noah quickly grabbed his arm and scolded, "What are you doing? What if your waist injury doesnât heal? We still need you to earn money for the baby formula!"
"Understood!" Henry excitedly hugged Noah tightly.
Despite the pain from his stab wound, he still wanted to embrace her, giving her the warmest hug.
At the door, Christopher Scott and Hudson Moore had been secretly filming with their phones for a long time before finally entering.
Seeing the two tightly embracing, Christopher smugly said, "Miss Owen, Iâve recorded your promise just now; donât think about backing out."
"Christopher, are you itching for a beating? How dare you scheme against me?" Noah said, picking up the pillow on the hospital bed and throwing it at Christopher.
"Noah, you hit me, youâll have to pay for the medical expenses." Hudson, standing beside Christopher, said after dodging and getting hit instead.
Looking at the two inseparable men in front of her, Noah mischievously said, "Christopher, Hudson, are you two planning to come out of the closet?"
"Hey! Noah, donât think that just because you have Henry, you can be so smug. Lots of people like me, Iâm not desperate enough to be with this fool," Christopher said dismissively.
"Christopher, who are you calling a fool? Do you want to taste my fist?" Hudson protested.
Ever since Maya Spencer called him Hudson, theyâve been calling him fool, tarnishing the elegant, sinister, and cunning reputation of Sixth Young Master Moore, often making him seem like a pet dog.
On the hospital bed, Henry watched the two wrestling into a heap, calmly saying, "Christopher, my dad recently went to the United States and heard that Seven is coming back."
As soon as Henryâs words fell, Christopher froze, immediately letting go of Hudsonâs collar, standing in place, at a loss.
Half a minute later, he came to his senses, realizing that the woman was finally coming back. After seven years, they were finally going to meet again.
Just a second ago, Christopher was all laughs and grins, but upon hearing the news of Sevenâs return, he became serious.
Immediately, his lips curled into a forced smile, and he said, "Henry, Iâll come to see you another day."
"Hey!" Hudson watched Christopherâs departing figure and sighed helplessly, thinking to himself, yet another single dog is leaving; is he really going to compete with Boss Graham to see who can stay single the longest?
After leaving the hospital, Christopher didnât go anywhere but drove aimlessly around the streets.
His hands on the steering wheel were trembling; although half an hour had passed since leaving the hospital, his mood had not calmed down.
In his mind, he imagined countless scenarios of encountering Seven, yet he couldnât figure out what it would be like when he finally met her, how she would react to him, whether she would still be as capricious and unruly as seven years ago, if she was still the girl she used to be in school?
Regarding Sevenâs return, Christopher felt both excited and nervous; heâd never felt this way before, eagerly wishing for the day to come, yet unsure of how to face it.
Should he casually say, "Long time no see!"
Or awkwardly ask, "Are you still mad at me?"
Or perhaps give her a warm hug and say, "Seven, I missed you."
"Hoo..." Imagining these scenarios, Christopher let out a long sigh to vent his nervousness, yet he still couldnât decide how to start the conversation ultimately.
Seven years is a long time, so long that heâs a bit scared, scared of not doing something right, not saying something correctly, causing her to leave again, scared that it would be another seven years of separation.
Thus, for the following days, he lived in torment, as each day felt as long as a year, yet he dared not inquire when exactly she would return, afraid that if Seven knew about his anticipation, she might suddenly choose not to come back.
A week later, Henry insisted on getting discharged.
However, after leaving the hospital, instead of going home, he went directly to Charlotte Owenâs villa to visit his mother-in-law.
In the villaâs living room, Charlotte Owen felt a bit excited seeing Noah bring Henry back, yet she held a calm and composed face.
