For a moment, Christopher Scott felt a bit awkward.Sophia Bennett didnât owe him anything; she was just being playful when she said she liked him. But he took her as a scapegoat, unleashing the displeasure Seven Murray brought him onto Sophia Bennett.
Christopher Scott looked at the girl for a moment and politely said, "Thank you!"
Then he put on his coat, pushed open the car door, and got out.
As soon as Christopher Scott stepped out of the car, Sophia Bennett immediately pushed open the car door and followed him. She stood behind Christopher Scott and whispered, "Christopher Scott, I want to use the restroom at your place."
Hearing the girlâs words, Christopher Scott turned around slowly, squinting his eyes suspiciously at Sophia Bennett, feeling she was up to something, just wanting to get close to him.
Sophia Bennett, noticing Christopher Scottâs distrust, pouted and explained, "I drank too much orange juice at the bar tonight."
In fact, Sophia Bennett had wanted to use the restroom for a while, but Christopher Scott was asleep, and she feared disturbing him, so she held it in until he woke up.
Listening to the girlâs explanation, Christopher Scott said sternly, "Donât get any other ideas."
"Donât worry! I wonât." Seeing that Christopher Scott no longer doubted her, Sophiaâs signature warm smile reappeared on her lips.
Immediately after, she followed Christopher Scott back to his apartment.
As soon as they walked through the door, Christopher Scott indifferently said, "No need to change shoes, youâre leaving soon anyway."
"Itâs fine, not a hassle." She didnât quite get the meaning behind Christopher Scottâs words, or maybe she knew but didnât want to face it.
"I donât have womenâs shoes here," Christopher Scott explained coldly, not wanting her to linger in his apartment.
"No problem, I can wear yours." Without hesitation, Sophia Bennett took off her shoes and put on Christopherâs, walking into the living room unceremoniously.
Christopher Scott followed behind Sophia Bennett, feeling there was more to her request to use the restroom, convinced there was a scheme involved.
He had met bold girls before but never one as bold as Sophia, which truly impressed him.
In the living room, Sophia Bennett looked around as if she had landed on another planet.
This was the first time she had ventured into a boyâs home without being kicked out, hoping not to be thrown out by Christopher Scott anytime soon either.
After changing his shoes, Christopher Scott frowned and directed Sophia Bennett to the bathroom, "The restroom is over there."
"Hmm!" Sophia Bennett followed his gaze, then walked into the restroom to solve her problem.
A moment later, she came out, drying her hands, her eyes still scanning Christopher Scottâs home, with no intention of leaving immediately.
Christopher Scott, seeing her wandering gaze, reminded her coolly, "Itâs getting late, you can go home."
"Your apartment has a nice decor, I really like this dark vintage tone, itâs very tasteful."
"Girl, itâs already 3:20 AM. If you donât go home, your family will worry." Had it been another woman, Christopher Scott wouldnât have thrown them out.
But Sophia Bennett was an exception, one of the rare few women he disliked.
"Christopher Scott, did you buy that wine cabinet or have it custom-made? I want one too." Then she added, "My apartment is about to be renovated, how about giving me some design advice? Youâve got an eye for it."
Sophia Bennett directly ignored Christopherâs hint to leave and continued talking on her own.
Seeing that talking to her was like playing the piano to a cow, Christopher Scott was fuming, completely astounded by her thickness of skin.
"Christopher Scott, this ceiling fan lamp in your dining room is gorgeous! Where did you buy it? What brand is it?" Sophia hadnât noticed Christopher Scottâs dislike for her, continuing to talk to herself, nearly driving him crazy.
However, Christopher Scott said nothing more, just followed behind her silently, listening as she complimented his apartmentâs decor.
Finally, Sophia Bennett reached Christopher Scottâs bedroom.
She commented, "Christopher, your bedroom walls are so beautiful."
Taking a deep breath, Christopher Scott suddenly grabbed Sophia Bennettâs wrist, slammed her against the wall, propped his hands on the wall, trapping Sophia inside his arms, glaring fiercely into her eyes.
At last, his fury was about to boil over.
Sophia Bennett looked at Christopher Scott, who was brimming with hostility, and took a deep breath, asking pitifully, "Christopher, what are you going to do?"
In Christopher Scottâs eyes, Sophiaâs timidness was all an act. How scared could she be if she dared to follow him home in the dead of night?
Looking at her innocent eyes, Christopher Scott was filled with disgust and raised his right hand, grabbing her chin, interrogating, "Sophia, what are you playing at? Coming to my apartment, wandering from my living room to my bedroom, arenât you just trying to get into my bed and offer yourself to me?"
"Alright! Since youâve brought yourself here, I wonât stand on ceremony."
Christopher Scott said as he pulled Sophiaâs wrists, throwing her onto the big bed, immediately pressing down on her.
In an instant, Sophia was frightened out of her wits!
She had pursued many boys before, but no one had ever dared to treat her like this; nobody even dared to verbally tease her, let alone throw her onto a bed.
She was startled by Christopher Scott, and this was the first time she saw a man so ferocious.
Christopher Scottâs rage clouded her judgment of men, suddenly making her feel that this kind of creature was terrifying.
Even though Sophia could be dense, she understood Christopherâs words. She could accept his disregard, bear his harsh words, his sarcasm, and ridicule.
However, she could not accept being seen as a woman without self-respect by Christopher, even though she was indeed quite forward with men.
At 23, Sophia Bennett had never even been kissed by a man; she couldnât stand Christopherâs accusations, nor his act of throwing her on a bed and trapping her in his arms.
Looking at Christopher Scottâs angry eyes, feeling his contempt, she suddenly lifted both legs, kicking him in the stomach, then quickly pushed him aside and got off the bed.
Though she claimed she wanted to chase Christopher, she never intended to have a one-night stand with him.
For Sophia Bennett, this was absurd; she would never easily sleep with a man, much less one she had only seen once.
On the bed, seeing Sophiaâs sudden change in demeanor and her attempt to escape, Christopher Scott curled his lips into a mocking smile. He didnât believe Sophiaâs demureness; he thought she was playing hard to get to arouse his interest.
So, he didnât hold back, immediately getting up from the bed, grabbing Sophiaâs wrist, pulling her fiercely into his arms, coldly asking, "What? Playing hard to get with me?"
"Sophia, let me tell you, Iâm giving you one chance now: disappear from my sight immediately, and stop bothering me."
