Chapter 552 - Felt It
Here is Chapter 552 of "No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother": "Chairman Bennett, apologies for the embarrassment." Liam Spencer helped Maya Spencer smooth over the awkward... Donât miss it!
"Chairman Bennett, apologies for the embarrassment." Liam Spencer helped Maya Spencer smooth over the awkward situation like a guardian."Not at all, I really like Mayaâs personality. I have something to attend to, you can go ahead inside." James Bennett had just angered Sophia Bennett and now needed to go back to placate her.
Sophia was not his biological daughter, but she was closer to him than to her real father, so James cherished her dearly and couldnât bear to see her suffer. However, today she accidentally crossed the line, wanting to fight Maya for a man, which James definitely wouldnât tolerate.
"Okay, weâll head in first." Liam said as he pulled Maya into the banquet hall.
With Christopher Scott and Hudson Moore absent, Maya found the banquet much duller. She silently followed Liam, and by the latter half of the banquet, she began to feel sleepy, prompting Liam to carry her back to the villa to rest.
The next morning at six oâclock, Maya woke Liam and pulled him to attend Seven Murrayâs new store opening.
Seven had given up on developing high-end international brands, but her new store displayed significant flair. She bought a four-story vintage mansion in a prime location in S Cityâs center, turning it into a store and studio. Featuring the support of the six elites of S City, it immediately made headlines and caused quite a stir.
Seven was thrilled to see the online communityâs recognition of her brand, grinning broadly.
A group gathered in the glass sunroom on the roof, chatting on the terrace, showering praise on Sevenâs creativity.
Noah Owen, with her big belly, held a cup of hot milk and couldnât help but remark, "Seven, you could open a cafĂŠ on the rooftop; it has quite a nice ambiance."
According to Sevenâs design, the first and second floors of the mansion served as display areas, the third floor as a studio, and the fourth-floor sunroom and greenhouse were designated for leisure, featuring flowers and plants, a lounge, an internet cafĂŠ room, and a billiard hall.
Setting regular friend gatherings here was leisurely, quiet, and offered the chance to visit Sevenâs clothing design and production, making it a great place to pass the time.
"Seven, you have an amazing place here; it makes me want to come work here." Ella Turner found the house to be a refreshing haven in S Cityâs bustling district, falling in love with it instantly.
"Sure! We are just short-staffed, Ella, you could come help." Sevenâs new store had just opened, and she was troubled by not finding a competent assistant. If Ella were willing to help out, it would save her a lot of worry.
"Great! Iâll start working here tomorrow. I canât make clothes, but I can do everything else." Ella, noticing Sevenâs need for help, was delighted.
Standing next to Ella, Elijah Reed saw that her life had finally returned to peaceful normalcy. The smile on her face became increasingly genuine, which reassured Elijah. He thought she was finally moving past the grief of Ethan Turnerâs death.
Maya wasnât interested in work, but she had a keen interest in Noah Owenâs baby.
Whenever Noah was present, Maya couldnât take her eyes off her belly. Observing her increasingly rounded abdomen, Maya sat beside her and gently touched Noahâs belly in surprise: "Noah, itâs harder than last time."
"Yes, the little one is moving now." Noah beamed with delight.
She quickly grabbed Mayaâs hand and gently pressed it on the left side of her belly, saying, "Feel it? Itâs kicking me again."
"Oh wow! I can feel it; itâs really moving and kicking you. So amazing!" It was Mayaâs first time witnessing a baby move in the womb, which made her quite excited.
Liam sat on a nearby rattan chair, observing the excitement on Mayaâs face, feeling an inexplicable pang of guilt. Whenever he saw Maya staring at other peopleâs kids or pregnant women, he felt a sense of guilt, thinking he owed Maya a lot.
So he quickly moved from a nearby sofa to sit next to Maya, gently wrapping his arms around her small waist and planting a kiss on her cheek.
Maya, feeling Liamâs tenderness, immediately turned to him excitedly, saying, "Third brother, itâs so fascinating, it really moves."
"Yes!" Liam hugged her close and kissed her little face, feeling sympathetic.
Then Seven pulled a clean and sunny boy in front of everyone, smiling as she introduced him: "Let me introduce everyone, this is Ian Hobbs, my high school classmate and my boyfriend, please welcome our new member!"
Ian and Seven met just two days ago. Seeing Seven introduce him publicly as her boyfriend, made Ian beam with joy.
He hadnât expected Seven to acknowledge and accept him so quickly.
From Sevenâs look and attitude, he could tell she wasnât using him as a pawn out of spite but genuinely wanted to develop a relationship with him.
The Seven now was much more mature than when she was in school, making Ian find her increasingly charming.
"I hope you take care of me!" Ian didnât greet everyone individually as he was quite familiar with these prominent figures, having been schoolmates before.
"Young Master Hobbs, youâre quite lucky! Our Seven just returned and youâve already snagged her. You ought to treat us to a meal." Lucas Shaw spoke first to break the awkward silence.
"Of course, absolutely!" Ian was overjoyed with Sevenâs acknowledgment. Not just a meal; heâd agree to anything the group wanted, except giving up Seven.
Yet the gathering wasnât composed of petty individuals; despite Christopher Scottâs relationship, they were quite amiable and chatted well with Ian.
Maya sat on a sofa, appraising Ian from head to toe, acknowledging that Ianâs appearance and aura were both excellent, which explained why Liam mentioned him as a strong competitor. She could see that Seven seemed genuinely interested in her old classmate, not just treating him casually.
Maya took a deep breath and turned her gaze to Christopher Scott sitting outside the greenhouse.
Seeing Christopher casually discussing business with Xavier Graham, seemingly indifferent to Ianâs presence, as if he had let go of Seven.
Maya knew Christopher was pretending to be calm only to avoid losing grace, not wanting to put himself in an awkward position.
Everyone here had their own pride, and Christopher did too.
Since Seven truly chose Ian, even if Christopher felt uneasy, he wouldnât cause a scene publicly.
After all, Ian and Seven were mutually affectionate, Sevenâs stance was clear, and Christopher had already lost to Seven over the previous brand collaboration. Perhaps that loss was why he completely lost Seven.
Liam saw that worried look in Mayaâs eyes and helplessly shook his head.
He realized Maya had changed; she was no longer the cold prickly person she used to be.
Now, Maya cared about every friend around her, worried when they were unhappy.
This personâs sense of humanity was growing stronger, making Liam increasingly fond of her, even if he himself still maintained a cold demeanor.
