Liam followed behind Maya, looking at this guyâs rejection towards himself made his hair stand on end, yet he didnât bother to reason with her or explain his dilemma.
When Maya reached the lobby door of the apartment building, she even deliberately reached out to close the door. Fortunately, Liam reacted quickly, pulling the door so he wasnât locked out by this guy.
Seeing him closely following her, Maya immediately turned around, tilting her head, staring into his eyes, and questioned, "Didnât you say not to bother with me? Why are you still following me? Iâm already home, please go back."
Liam looked at the girlâs fierce appearance, preferred not to care about her, pressed the elevator button, and pulled her small hand to enter the elevator.

Liam saw she was unwilling to let him touch her, so he was too lazy to touch her again, just pressed the floor where she lived and accompanied her upstairs.
Maya stood with her back to him, still ignoring him.
Moments later, the elevator doors opened, and Ella arrived before them, standing at the door waiting for them.
She watched Maya angrily step out of the elevator and immediately held her hand asking, "Maya, where did you go today?"
"Iâm fine!" Maya stubbornly replied she was fine.
"Thatâs good. I brought you some night snacks. Elijah was originally supposed to see you, but he had to contact a doctor temporarily, so he left first." Ella noticed the hint of unhappiness in Mayaâs brows and knew she had encountered something.
Liam looked at Mayaâs back, watching her ignore him, clenching his teeth in anger; he wanted to hug her, wanted to comfort her, but was even more afraid sheâd explode like a firecracker.
Thus, before Maya entered the door, he pulled her once, took her into his arms, and softly said, "Maya, I know you are in a bad mood, I shouldnât have argued with you earlier. Rest for a couple of days, Iâll go handle things at the hospital."
Listening to Liamâs comforting words, Mayaâs heart softened. But thinking of the fact that James Bennett is her father, she immediately pushed Liam away, irritably saying, "We have no relationship anymore; my matters donât concern you."
"Maya, are you really going to argue with me like this?" Liam felt very uncomfortable after being pushed away by her, with hands at his waist, lowering his head, staring into her eyes, thinking, if this guy showed some weakness, wouldnât it be okay? Must she argue?
